Jimmy i've said what i know, from the 6-7 times i've met Vizard he's come across as a decent guy. I don't know anything specific about his financial dealings but i suspect neither do you. I'm not biased towards him for any reason other than i know of a lot of excellent stuff he's done for the state of victoria and numerous worthwhile charities, and i don't believe insider trading is an overly serious crime.

Morgoth as i said earlier if a heap more stuff comes out about Vizard my opinions may change about him slightly, but i'm not the type to sink in the boots on rumours or a class jealousy thing either.

Understand where you are coming from Deej. It worries me though when you are prepared to accept Vizard is innocent until conclusively proven otherwise but at the same time threaten and possibly slander one of his ex-employees by your earlier posting:-

This guy is a thief remember, he stole a fair bit off Vizard and is now blabbing all and sundry to whoever wants to listen. The guy's a dill, the more he talks the more he paints himself to be a lieing thieving snake, no matter what the truth is.

Won't believe it till they prove the charity was a scam. And if it isn't a scam then someone's gonna get it for slander big time, cause they are very serious accusations. Almost as bad as you can get in a moral sense.

I reckon his life could be in danger just quietly.

Surely this is a massive double-standard on your part?

I guess time will tell whether Vizard has deliberately manufactured a public persona of a "great Aussie battler made good" behind which he has manipulated and deceived.

Having seen similar scenarios with the likes of Alan Bond, Laurie Connell and Christopher Skase I take the opposite view about insider trading/white collar crime. On what has emerged to date my inclination is to compare Steve Vizard with these scum-bags and not Rene Rivkin.

If what he says recently is true then he still lied and deceived the ATO as Vizard's accountant. If it's not true then he's stolen off Vizard and then dobbed him in on other stuff as a vindictive get back for being caught stealing. Either way he's a thief and a dog of a person.

Hey, believe me. Insider trading is more common than hash.

Only thing is that insider trading is easier to prove.

The whole thing is selective and ASIC are upper class criminals.
