Just as with any State/Federal election you dont have to vote the way the party wants you to, You can vote for the individuals so this year vote the way you feel

i.e in my own mind that is Macek for Pres , Rex for VP and the others I am not certain yet.

Use your own mind vote below the line

Lets get this vote Roaring

Really, the alternative ticket is doomed now that Rex has got on board.
You can just see Schwab, Macek and Welsh spewing now.
Rex will take over from Casey as pres in a few years you will find.

I sincerely hope that the majority of RFC supporters aren't as easily swayed as you boys.

Fair dinkum, if Osama bin Laden was running for Prez and had Rexy on his ticket, it seems that the majority of posters on this Board would flock to vote for Ossie...

Encouraging? Yes. Messiah? No.

Vote 1 alternative ticket.

the way some of you guys carry on

I'll vote 1 REX ... i mean Casey

cheers

Geez look at everyone fire up!!!

I'll vote for Rex anyday, its about time we got some club champions back and with Rex's profile, love of the club, knowledge of the game and no BS approach he would perfect.

Sorry if you took I was telling you how to vote PRR. I only meant you dont have to vote the way the tickets are aligned.

Just Vote

Sorry Khan,

just some people I feel are looking at this pretty onesidedly and the more I feel someone trying to persuade me on how to vote then I'll simply vote the other way.

Heres a question though

Considering everyone is up for election, and from what I heard Macek say inregards to members only get to vote who is on the board not who will be our president, is it at all possible that the members can vote for anyone and leave out BOTH Macek and Casey?

that would really teach them both for having egos bigger than the MCG.

This way Rex could possibly be president as early as 2005.

Could easily see a result something like ...

1. Hunt
2. Wood
3. Welsh
4. Casey
5. Schwab
6. Macek

plus 3 others.

Most elections are on name recognition and ex-players generally win them. You'd think Hunt, Wood and Welsh would win. The Schwab name is pretty well known at Richmond and people will know Casey by now as well.

Hunt could emerge as the compromise candidate for president. If the board is split you'd imagine he'd be able to work with Schwab, Welsh and Wood whom he'd allready know.

Officially who can vote is below, Sante the 2nd best tipster.
In plain English - 'Adult' and 'On The Bench' 2004 financial members, and Life Members.

From the club's Articles:

7 VOTING AT MEETINGS

7.1 Any Ordinary Member may record his vote personally or by proxy at either an Annual General Meeting or an Extraordinary General Meeting.

7.2 Subject to these Articles an Ordinary Member will be entitled to vote once their name has been entered on the Register of Members in accordance with Article 5.

7.3 Every Life Member and Ordinary Member shall have one vote only but in the case of an equality of votes the Chairman at any Meeting shall have a casting vote in addition to his vote as a member.

7.4 Notwithstanding anything in these Articles, Junior Members, Gaming Members, Associate Members, Visiting Members and Authorised Gaming Visitor shall not be eligible to vote at any meeting or in any election of the Club nor shall they count for the purposes of the quorum.

Don't know what membership you've got Matt. If you haven't got one or you're a junior, then no. Not sure about concession.

A 'Country/Interstate 5' member also has full voting rights.

Does anyone think that perhaps half the hard work and tough decisions have already been made in turning this club around and that due to Casey's board of the past 2 years making huge losses he has basically given the alternative ticket and easy ride?

It just seems to me that the alternative ticket will be able to sit back work a bit on getting a few more sponsorships signed up, watch Wallace and Miller continue on what they have already started then be able to claim they turn our club around.

Yesterday I was an angry man (regarding Rex Hunt fiasco, I still think Rex on board would be the icing on the cake), but after the draft today I am punch drunk happy, amazing what 24 hours can do.

I should have more faith in Miller and Wallace, but after 20 years of getting excited over something then having it fall apart its difficult to be positive and upbeat but I am occassionally liking what I see (such as todays draft).
