I am to young to of seen him play back in the days, but I have seen him play on fox footy. Michael Roach!!
KB was a legend. his 7 goals in the 1980 GF were things of beauty.

You don't realise how lucky you are til something you take for granted is not there anymore.
When I was a kid Roachy used just walk in as a routine and kick the pill high and straight throught the sticks.
Fast forward to Richo and then you realise what a star Roachy was. Fox Footy now and again plays a couple of quarters of the Tiges against the then North Melbourne at Arden Street sometime in the early eighties.
Roachy kicked them from everywhere......half of them from a mile out that disappeared in the clouds as they went through....
The only downside to my Roachy experience as a kid.......is to that ol bag who tapped me on the shoulder to ask me who kicked the last behind.....just in time for me to miss
I should have fragged her right then and there.....with her knitting needles...
I would have been released by now!!

(and don't always believe the myths of some players.....Royce was a CHF Superstar......but he had some atrocious games too......I saw them)
Come to think of it....Jeff Hogg had a nice little routine while kicking for goal....
Bit of a plodder....but in rubbish teams....

Roachy was great but the goals dried up a fair bit as the team became crap. Illustrates how hard it is to judge Richo and Hogg against early Roach and Hart.
