Anyone else think Lynch turned the momentum of the match almost singlehandedly in the third when he went into the ruck?

Thats the only reason I had him ahead of Kennedy.

He had a matchwinning 8 minute period.

Lynch was very good in the 3rd in the ruck.

But didn't do enough during the rest of the game to warrant votes IMO.

5. A Selwood
4. LeCras
3. Glass
2. Wirra
1. Cockie

Anyone who doesn't have Adam Selwood in their list is crazy, from his 22 disposals he kicked a goal and had 7 clearances with no clangers at 86% efficiency. He also went inside 50 four times with a goal assist and 2 frees for.

Should not be tagging anyone ever again.

what he said :thumbsu:

also i thought masten was pretty poor today. should watch cockies game tape of today to watch how he goes in and actually gets the ball

HM: embers and kennedy

Lecras - BOG by a country mile and a half
Hurn - Great game, having a good season
Cockie - Absolutely love his physical pressure and determination, faster than a lot of people give him credit for also
Glass - Solid in defence as always
Kennedy - Loved his game and will only get better, Goodbye Ash

I think it's great that Lecras can get himself into a position to have 10 shots on goal. But I've got two problems with that.

One, he needs to capitlise more on those opportunities, his snapping is woeful. Secondly, why is one of the smaller blokes on field our main target.

I dont like the way this forward line is evolving, I'd hate to see us revert back to the Phil Matera style of years past.

Kicking to a contest is not a clanger, a clanger is an unforced error like kicking the ball to an opponent or out on the full. Frees against are frees against, 50m penalties are clangers.

I know what you mean about stats but from watching the game I couldn't understand why you thought he was BOG as far as disposal as I saw him turn it over at least once, there were a few guys who were a lot cleaner than him (Selwood, Hurn, Butler). I think a lot of us are too focused on watching Masten and miss some of those other blokes. I still can't believe how good Selwood is when not tagging, he's quickly becoming my favourite Eagle to watch, I think from tagging so long the defensive side of his game has become second nature.
Masten's turnovers today were early, and predominantly by hand. His foot skills were superb, especially when he kicks the ball low to a target.

Anyway, my votes

5) LeCras
4) Selwood
3) Glass
2) Embley
1) Masten

HM to Kennedy and Wirra.

Tottally agree, along with Cockie and McNamarra dominated the middle for 8 minutes!!

Very surprised no one has given him votes or at least HM

Tough game to give votes out...

But

5. A Selwood
4. Lecca
3. Embley
2. Wirra
1. Lynch (for his 5 min on the ball in the third)

Decent performances from a few others but really no-one else really had an impact on the game.. (lots of man love for JK, but really flashed in and out and as a lead up CHF found himself out too wide and too deep in defence too often.. But will improve)

5. A.Selwood
4. LeCras
3. Wirra
2. Cox
1. Hurn

HM to Nicoski for his tagging job on Davey

5. Lecras (Really kept us in the game with accurate kicking for goal in the third when we really needed it, kicked 4.6, but that so could easily have been 7-8 goals today with just a couple of inches, so oppurtunistic around goals, you really think that Kennedy in the side helps out a bit, having a big guy to contest and taking defenders away so he plays 1 on 1.:thumbsu:
4. Selwood. Is fast becoming on of the more elite midfielders in the game, is hard at it, and has realy taken on the attacking role hes been given this year brilliantly.
3. Glass. Brilliant. I don't think much more can be said, in a year where we have struggled for consistency this year, he has been leading from the front.
2. Hurn. Was our backline leader, and has such great vision from the backline. Straightens us up with such crisp disposal.
1. Masten: Yeah, this could have been given to a couple of people but I thought Masten was important today, that goal in the last was our only one in the quarter, one of his better games for the club, can anyone else see little glimpses here and there of what he can do? Really can't wait for when he starts to dominate. :thumbsu: Disposal is getting better too which is encouraging.

HM: Cockie, Cox, McNamara, Jones.

I leave Embley out because, although he had a good running game, his disposal and decision making was terrible at times.

5. Lecras - Clearly our most dangerus forward.
4. Selwood - Honest and hard at it as usual.
3. Hurn - Long kicking a feature, set up the play all day.
2. Butler - Very clean with disposal, led team for Inside 50's and Score assists.
1. Wirrapunda - Mopped up well all day, still needs to play closer to his man at times despite reading the play better than most.

5 - selwood
4 - lecras
3 - embley
2 - glass
1 - wirrpanda

cox not far from best, kennedy did well too

I did and almost gave him a vote for it, but I'm biased.
