POTY

Because of the team's up and down performance over the night, IMO there wasn't a lot between our 5 best players as it was hard to find 4 quarter players for the night.

5. Goodwin - Obviously starting to overcome his injuries with a excellent on-ball display again last night. Certainly racking up the stats this year.

4. Welsh - his best game for the year IMO. 5 goals in a match like that was a match-winning performance. Pleased to see him put in 2nd and 3rd efforts after a wimpish display against Collingwood.

3. Knights - only some poor disposals by foot stopped the ball magnet from being BOG IMO. Disposal by hand was excellent but there were a few untidy kicks. Loved the way he took on the opposition and burnt them off or weaved his way through traffic. Charlie Walsh's predictions on this lad's ability to power away from the opposition is starting to come to fruition. :thumbsu:

2. McLeod - dashing off his HB flank and used the ball well to set up attack after attack. Having a great year.

1. Griffin - you gotta love the big fella. Has come from absolutely nowhere to be a more than handy back-up to Hudson. Only needs a few more kgs and experience to become a first class AFL ruckman. Reminds me of a young Dean Cox.

Best Team Man

3. Shirley - no frills, tough as tungsten. Becoming a good ball-getter in addition to being a good stopper. Just missed a POTY vote for last night.

2. Perrie - played his role as lead up forward to near perfection. Got a fair share of it himself, provided a contest at all times, and opened up the space behind him for Welsh. Great Team game.

1. Hudson - absolute lion-hearted player. Gives his all and dominated the rucks last night. His blood's worth bottling!!! :thumbsu:

Rookie

2. Knights - see above

1. Griffin - a rising star nomination is getting closer and closer. :)

I must have watched a different game! :D

POTY:

5 Griffen (Could have easily bagged 5 goals)
4 Knights (some clangers but showed something special)
3 Jericho (tried his heart out and presented well IMO)
2 McLeod (his usual helpful and classy self)
1 Welsh (5 very handy goals)

BTM:

3. Huddo
2. Perrie
1. Shirley

ROTY

Griffen (don't think Knights qualifies?)

Interesting perspective.

Hey NO bagging other people's votes! I called it how I saw it. I don't care if no-one else did. MANY have the blinders out as far as Jericho is concerned and I feel he'd have to have 43 possessions and kick 10 goals before anyone thought he'd had a fair night.;)

POTY
5. Welsh - matchwinning forward when the rest struggled
4. Goodwin - best of the disappointing midfield
3. McLeod - surprised we didn't use him more as an attacking weapon in the 2nd half
2. Griffin - Looked dangerous up forward & taps went to advantage
1. Knights - got plenty of it, but wasted too much

BTM
3. Perrie - for creating a leading option, when the forwards were out numbered
2. Edwards - for his tackles & assists
1. Shirley - for being his typical tough self.

2. Griffin
1. Knights
