I'm smarting. I wasn't about to watch us throw everything we had at them and lose by 9 goals.

3 virtual kids. The future is with these boys. Add Licka in there as well. Leave these boys in .. let em develop as senior footballers. It is in our senior plays where you should look for faults (especially tonight). Misiti got a bit of the ball ... but the game, pace wise, has passed him by. Gets caught out far too many times ... James exposed him yet again for lack of pace.

But how lucky to Port have to be? When was the last time they played an Essendon side that included D. Fletcher?

About time we saw Cory back. A personal favourite alongside The Bear.

Misiti racked up a few possessions last night which is good to see him getting form. Can anyone explain why Hille kept tapping the ball instead of trying to mark it? He looked like a badly out of place netballer. Apart from that, I think most of the younger kids were outrun and generally smashed by a far more experienced side. As showed in the last quarter. I was suprised we held them back in the first quarter. As well as managing to stage a mini fightback during the last bit of the third and start of the fourth quarter.

Thanks to this game, port now have their best winning streak against us 4 games. From memory, fletcher has not played in three of those.

Seems you have to have an M in your name to get in the votes recently. ;)

McGrath - good team lifting stuff. Not enough unfortunately. Suppose that means he'll be dropped, like all the other irregular players who have a good game and sent back to the reserves.

Honourable mention to some of the young guys, especially Richards and Bullen.

Will Everyone be jumping onto my Marc Bullen Bandwagon now?:D

And memo David Hille - its much easier to mark the ball with 2 hands - not just 1. I think its time Jason Lay**** was given a chance.

3 Misiti (except for that rediculous handpass that turned into a Port goal)

2. Richards

1. Bullen

McGrath, Winderlich, MJ & JJ. Ces also tried hard all night.

Hille was trying to be smart. Richards took a great mark against two opponents. He then kicks to Hille who obviously didn't see what Richards did as he tried to do it one hand and failed - moron. I have tried to give him time but I almost think it is time to give one of the other youngsters a go.

I would seriously consider bringing up Chook this week and playing him on Gardiner. Preferably after being 7 goals up of course.

I was at the game and thought misiti was pretty ordinary only to get home and find out he had 32 possessions and was considered our best player. Is it just me that thought he was ordinary? Or is it because at the game you could see him jogging slowly towards contests and not filling in spaces or picking up players?

Nice touches from the bear too - keep it up.

Unfortunately, Welly had the worst game I have EVER seen him play, and it had to be on a night when Trdrea brought his kicking boots.
Welly won't play that badly ever again.
:(

Misiti was good when we had the ball but he was dead weight when Port took control. His lack of pace was obviously a key component of Port's tactics as you could see Misiti's direct opponent running into space to be the link man all night. Poor Joey couldn't get within 20 meters of the bastard.

i took three good things away from that game. One was Corey McGrath looked sensational in the second half, and logic says he will hold a regular senior berth for a while after that performance (what Sheedy decides is another matter entirely). Ted Richards continues to improve and looks like he could hold down a key position. And although he was fairly quiet for the night, Rama Jr kicked a brilliant goal late in the game as further confirmation that this kid is going to be a star.

Didn't deserve to lose by as much as we did.
When the hell is Fletch coming back?

2 Votes: To Drew's mate ....I think it was Damian or something like that .... who swan dived off the railing knees first into the concrete when ****y got his soft free and 50m penalty. A 9.75 from the Russian judge so he had to be happy.

1 Vote: Johnny ( Windy Hill)..... Climbing from his sick bed, and even though he spent most of the night sitting in his seat, he managed a token appearance amongst the Boys..( And Girls)

and the other votes

He's not a bad kid Locky...probably needs a bit more bulk on him, to play the sort of role up forward that he is capable of..has a reasonable set of hands as well and just presents so much.

The problem for him is when you have a guy like Lloyd who is nominal favourite for that position, a guy like "Bear" suffers.
