Somebody has to do it. Toughest job all year.

2 - Godfrey - Tried hard all night, disposal was typically ordinary but in a match like this, you just wanna see blokes have a crack for four quarters and I thought he did.

2 - Holland - Got a bath by Richardson early, bounced back and kicked three goals in the third quarter to give us the slightest sniff. Even if they were cheap goals, it was better than most players output.

2 - Bizzell - Didn't do heaps wrong or right, but like Godfrey I thought he had a solid crack and kept trying all night. I especially loved that heavy bump he delivered in the third, even if the Tigers did score a goal from it anyway.

2 - White - I suppose when you have 11 more hitouts than the opposition in total, you deserve something. Even if it wasn't their top ruckman, and we lost the clearances anyway...he also took a nice screamer.

It must be a first where no player stood up and deserves a vote.

Seriously but will go under duress.. nah sorry can't pick one.. was pathetic

3 Richo
2 Polak
1 Brown (set the tempo early was pretty instrumental and had 6 assists)

3 Bate
2 Bell
1 Bizzel

2 - White - not really his fault the midfield got smashed
2 - Wheatley - similar game as last week
2 - Sylvia - Whilst he wasn't overly effective I thought he had a crack, put his head over it, laid some tackles with force, took a hanger, went stupidly for another one
1 - McLean - got towelled up in the first half but he was the one starting the come back, too bad it always has to be him, one shocking half followed by one good half beats a whole game of mediocrity (Bruce et al)

All I could get to is 7.

Bate

Listen i love it when he gets the ball and he does some great things with the ball, good hands and not a bad kick.
But defensive he is crap, he does not chase or put in the effort that all forwards should do.

I just seem to notice him all the time

Can't bring myself to vote.

Godfrey - REALLY? He was the ringleader of rubbish. For a ****ing tagger, he doesn't know how to man up FFS!!!!

I hope he has daughters.

To the best display of the night; Midway though the last quarter, the attendance flashes on the big screens, 46k. The woman (if i can assume), yells out "Ha, 46 thousand. When was the last time you Melbourne had a crowd that big?"

brilliant

No one from Melbourne would have been in (at least) the top 15 on the ground IMO, but anyway;

Bate 2 (say goodbye to miller)
Wheatley 2 (got a fair bit of the pill)
Bizzell 2 (playing well considering how long he's been out)
Bell 1 (did well, although overwhelmed)
White 1 (have to give him something for his hitouts)

Sylvia? No offence to the kid, but he has got to start to show something other than just being hard at it, otherwise he's heading towards the catagory of being just a good ordinary player who gets lots of games at Melbourne. And look where that's getting us.
