5 - Cousins. Inspirational, gave us a lift in the third quarter when we needed it.
4 - Embley. Shining light up forward, a cool head and a good mark.
3 - Wirrpunda. Held the defence together, looks to be back to his best.
2 - Kerr. Was over-fancy at times but just worked like a dog.
1 - Stenglein. Great job on McLeod, plus did some good in-and-under stuff in the last quarter.

Unlucky - banfield, chick (2nd half), staker, fletcher.

5. Embley - the only player up forward who looked dangerous
4. Cousins - back to his best..brownlow?
3. Hansen - played well under extreme pressure, kicking great goals
2. Stenglein - shut mcleod nicely
1. Wirrpunda - just awesome

5. Wirrpunda - without his rebounds and cool head, we would have been beaten soundly.
4. Embley - hard worker and game breaker
3. Cousins - proof he ain't just a pretty face :)
3. Stenglein - McLeod who ?
1. Cox - great effort for this first game back

Notable mentions to Staker and Hunter, with the odd streak of class from Gardi.

5 - David Wirrpunda
4 - Ben Cousins
3 - Andrew Embley
2 - Daniel Kerr
1 - Adam Hunter

Unlucky: Stenglien, Banfield, Cox

5. Cousins - a great four quarter effort from the captain
4. Embley - brilliant second half in attack. Do not waste this man in defense
3. Kerr - outstanding second half, although a little slow on disposal
2. Stenglein - Andrew who?
1. Coxxy - worked tirelessly, took some good marks, worked well around the ground

Unlucky:
Gardy - Only tall forward to look challenging
Fletcher - lot of the ball as usual
Wirrpunda - brilliance as usual

Also thought Staker was useful and Butler did a couple of good things. Brauny was good in the last quarter, while Hansen looked better as the game went on after a poor start.

5. Wirrapunda- Another great game and proving he is possibly the most important player in our team.
4. Embley- Good alround game, cool head under pressure and offered us a target late on.
3. Cousins- All Class and a real inspiration when we needed him. Great Captains Game.
2. Kerr - Played very well all day.
1. Stinger- DId well considering what he was up against and held Macloed well all day
Unlucky: Staker- Had a few blemishes but I thought did very well across the HB line espicially in the last quater where he was rebounding constantly.

5 - Cousins - great effort, particularly in 2nd half
4 - Wirrpunda - saved us many a time and worked hard
3 - Embers - 3 very important goals, led and marked well
2 - Kerr - worked hard but his disposal /decision making was a bit off at times
1 - Stenglein - good defensive job, laid some important tackles

Others that worked hard were Banners, Cox, Hunts, Stakes and Fletch. Great to have a win, even if we were pretty lucky after a poor first half. The boys fought back well!

5- Cousins
4- Wirrapunda
3- Embley
2- Fletcher
1-Stenglein (Loving him at the eagles)

5. Cousins
4. Wirrpunda

5. Embley- When it counted, the game winner. 'Nuff said.
4. Cousins- Brilliant and inspirational all day.
3. Wirrpunda- absolute gun out of the backline.
2. Stenglein- we have a tagger!
1. Kerr- great in the second half.

Would like to see Cox and Butler net some votes.

5. Cousins - Stood up when the game needed to be won
4. Embley - Match winning performance up forward
3. Wirrpunda - If he plays all season AA beckons
2. Kerr - Worked his ass off all day
1. Banfield - prevented Ricciuto from having any impact.

B.Cousins 18 10 28 4 0 1 2 0 0 0 C.Fletcher 18 9 27 10 0 3 1 1 0 0 D.Kerr 19 7 26 8 0 2 3 3 0 0 D.Wirrpunda 15 7 22 4 0 2 0 1 0 0 A.Embley 12 9 21 11 2 1 0 0 3 3
I don't disagree with anyones voting but gee, Fletch must feel gutted not to get a point after 27 possies, 10 marks and 3 tackles. The quiet achiever I reckon.

Geez, I didn't realize he got so much of the ball. He probably wasn't as damaging as he could have been, though.

Also, I think you and I are the only people to have given Hunter a vote.

5- Hunter
4- Cousins
3- Kerr
2- Embley
1- Banfield

Strange thing for me Hunter was an easy choice for best Eagle on ground -the rest of the votes where hard- but on the radio and on here no ones has mentioned him

He puts his body on the line all game. I really was impressed and without him I thoght we'd have been blown away by half time. Staker needs some of his hardness to succeed at CHB
