3 - Cameron Bruce - 35 disposals, 10 marks and 2.1 goals. Worked hard throughout the game. Good effort.

1 - Nathan Jones - 23 disposals, 9 tackles and 1.2 goal. Another who busted his guts all day, once again good in contested situations.

1 - Brock McLean - 22 disposals and 9 tackles. Not a spectacular game, a bit more workmanlike today but still worthy of praise.

1 - David Neitz - 11 disposals, 10 marks and 4.1 goals. Captains effort to get us back in the game, took some important marks and kick a few goals.

1 - Nathan Carroll - 15 disposals and 8 marks. Poor disposal but saved us many times on the last line of defence with some crucial contested grabs.

1 - Clint Bizzell - 21 disposals and 7 marks. Was good in defence under pressure with some telling marks and important rebounds.

Just on a side note...

White's stats looked good but I still think he needs to do more around the ground. A lot of the time he doesn't seem to give 100% and always stuffs around with the footy (as does most of the team, but he is a senior player and should know better). In the last quarter he was getting beaten in the ruck contests. Whenever PJ went into the ruck, we won them. But Daniher eventually put White back on and it was to no surprise that we started losing the clearances again.

Yep I didn't watch the whole game but for several weeks now I been calling for Whitey to lift, show some passion and determination.

Also I was impressed with what I saw from Robbo, close to getting votes???

Bizzell best easily.

Without him Melbourne wouldn't have got so close.
To this goose *..(!?! You never thought you'd see that again!).." you actually have to give the guy a game before he can do anything for you.
He was in everything a few weeks ago but was obviously finding his touch, then dropped the next game when they are getting smashed weekly.
He was brilliant in every situation on the field and if he had been put up forward in the marking form he was in who knows. Dennis Commetti suggested it (obviously realises Clints potential), Tim watson rejected it without reason. Watson your a tool. When Biz is out of contract Carlton should offer him a deal cause Melbourne obviously won't. They will probably drop him next week.
