And everyone put in tonight. Not everyone had a good game, but everyone had a good go. This will be the game that we can look back on when we win our next premiership as the one that lead the way. It is not enough to just get the games into the young guys, you have to get good games into them and this was the first that really mattered. Previously all the players have shown that they have talent. Tonight was about guts.

Though I thought everyone contributed in someway. Very happy with tonights effort.

*I see some similarities between Lonergan and Bartel. Both very strong around the hips and very hard at it. Lonergans skills tonight were also superb given the slippery conditions.

Slattery did quite good on Burton after he gave Welsh a bath and tried hard all night.

You cannot label Lloyd 'disgraceful'. He had a bad night and lost his footing several occassions but Crows did push a lot of numbers back and he did give it his best shot. It's quite disgraceful for you to say that about the captain and a legend of the game

Hislop was probably our worst but only because he did the ac joint and struggled for the remainder of the night.

Slattery was terrible.... he gave Burton 8 uncontested Marks for the game, Burton then only had one contested Mark, in which Welsh was tagging him during the first quarter... Yeh Slattery Was Fantastic!

Lloydy.... Ohhh.... Jump..... Attempt to Mark..... Ohhh Fall over!!!!

Does it really matter if he's captain, I'm not gonna treat him any different, he shouldn't be captain if he's gonna fall over everytime the ball goes near him, he gave away a stupid 50 which was at a vital stage in the game and he just always complains and looks for the umpire when he's upset because he dropped easy marks.

Still, great effort by all our players (Except^^), I'm gutted how we were so close...

If anything it was a good loss and our guys will actually learn from it, Scotty's back and we didnt' use him that much tonight so hopefully next week he'll get more of the ball... Lonergan, Winderlich, Monfries all fantastic, especially Monfries who did an F"ing great job on Mcleod. Lonergan was great through the middle and Winderlich was definitly up to scratch. Fletcher was unbelievable, he won the contest everytime the ball went near him and his spoiling was just "Old school Fletch". Reimers is getting better each game and Myers is travelling along very well.

i second you mate, this guy just slags off a certain few players every week, aswell as swears every time he feels he needs to make a point.
but i did get a laugh, when he referred to fletcher playing like "old school fletch", when the poster himself was just barely starting primary school in our last premiership year (2000), let alone the 90s.

wat so u can hear his team mates telling him 2 run handball and kick can ya. well burton didnt kick 5 so why does it matter. burton is a very very good player. he he tore better players thans slatts apart this year. so 2 break even. he has done well.

His disposal efficiency last night was 90% and hes averaged 80% for the year, not bad if you ask me
