I know many probably won't give many votes. For me, i think two players beat their respective players.

5. Void
4. Void
3. Pavlich
2. Farmer
1. Void

I certainly don't think 5 players deserved votes today.

5: The Wiz
4: Black
3: Pav
2: Cookie (8 hardball gets, lacked support)
1: 211 (tried hard all day and continually rammed it down our midfielder throats but they coughed it up)

Parks, stuck to his guns all day, Williams could have easily kicked 12 with the amount of ball coming in to him.

Be scratching to find anyone else of note.

FREMANTLE: 5.3, 8.6, 8.8, 10.10 (70)

Taken from footygoss.

5. pav

2. cook
1. sandilands

Only the first 2 really deserved any, although Black minus the brain explosions did ok.

5 - Pav
4 - Wiz
3 - Black
2 - Nil
1 - Nil

Worst game of footy I've seen us play, including 2001. It was clear that the hawks were fully committed and hungry for the win and we were aweful.

Bit harsh.. that performance in a win would have at least gotten him 7, if not 8.

noone else deserved 6+ though.

The west gave the Dockers an absolute pasting. The best player (Pav got 6/10 :P)

Geez that is tough on Pav, he was dominant on the wing, CHF, forward flank etc. He beat all comers and thumped a couple of goals. An 8 would have been closer to the mark.

Well, it doesn't look like anyone else has much more to add to this. We couldn't even find 7 players to give votes to this week - only 6 guys registered any votes... here it is:

Results Round 9:

7. Pav
6. Wiz
5. Black
5. Cook
3. Sandilands
2. Longmuir

Leaderboard:

1. Pavlich (50)
2. McPharlin (23)
3. Black (22)
=4. JCarr & MCarr (20)
=6. Farmer & Cook (18)
8. Longmuir (17)
9. Parker (15)
=10. Medhurst & Bell & Headland (9)
13. Sandilands (5)
=14. Grover & Siegert & Thornton (4)
=17. Polak & Dodd & Hasleby (3)
20. Webster (1)

Just FYI, Pav's scores from Rds 1 - 9 have been:

5, 5, 6, 0, 7, 7, 7, 6, 7.

Having a fair year one could say.

Sad from a team aspect that the leader has over double the number of votes to the second person.

Interesting to see how the umps see Pavs performances so far this year, to the bookies eyes he is on the top line, but somehow I know the umps are more likely to give the votes to a "pretty" midfielder. Ah life goes on.

Maybe we need IP to give the team a rev up ........ no cameras allowed.

True re sad that one player is so dominant... but on the other hand, it's great to see that he's having a consistent season, and that his consistency is not just "good average consistent", but "freaking excellent consistent". He was dual AA at age 21, so we know how good he can be, and even now he's only 23... imagine when he's in that 25-30 age bracket and in his "prime"!!

I also think he has absolutely stuck his hand right up in the air and said... I'm the man, I'm the next captain. He has said that the blame for the poor performances has to be laid squarely with the senior players, the leadership group, yet he has been the only one to have consistently led from the front, to have dominated in every game he has played, bar one.

Some have said, maybe Hase should be the next captain - a home grown lad and all, great year in 2003, great first half of 2004... others have been in the Schammer camp, some for McPharlin and a fair few for Josh Carr when he came across. But I think after the first 9 weeks of this year, it has become blatantly obvious that the only guy to have put his hand up week in and week out and played his butt off is Pav. I used to think that they would have had him pencilled in for 2007, but with Belly's form down a bit this year, I reckon we will see Pav captain from next year, hopefully for the next 8 or 9 years!!

Agree with all your points IP.

Could you and all your "Freo Belles" get together and make sure one of them "ropes" Pav into a very long stay in Freo town.

Well I'd willingly volunteer, but seeing as I am a happily married thirtysomething, I'll have a scout around and see if I can't locate an unattached gorgeous young thing to tie him up and tie him down... ;)
