Reasonably happy...about as happy as you can be after a 40+ point loss

2 - Petterd (amazing)
2 - Rivers (very good)
1 - Bruce (worked hard)
1 - Miller (presented well. showed he should play forward)
1 - Moloney (good effort)
1 - Davey (finding a lot of well needed form)

2 - Davey (Finding his touch again)
2 - Rivers (Gutsy running back, class in defence shines through)
2 - Petterd (Great debut, very promising signs)
1 - Yze (Played well)
1 - Miller (Got pantsed by Hall, but did some good work when put where he belongs)

2 - Rivers, so dependable in the backline *although we got punched
2 - Pettard, showing desperation and IQ where some lacked
2 - Davey, he's back but needs support
1 - Bruce, possessions and pressure
1 - Miller, starting to get 'it'

I would have given Moloney a sniff, but he still keeps on taking on the man where he clearly shouldn't (i.e. gets tackled too often).

I'm starting to worry about Colin Sylvia, for a predicted 'game breaker', he looks like he couldn't bust through a wet tissue at the moment. He is still not totally fit, but he needs to do big things soon.

2. Petterd - couldn't ask anymore of a debutante. Showed poise and skill.
2. Davey - has found some nice form and gives us a spark but is left to do too much chasing
2. Rivers - we really missed his reading of the play down back. Really steadies the backline
1. Moloney - gave us some good drive forward and kicks instead of handballs and usually to our advantage
1. Miller - his workrate is starting to be matched by output. Still needs to work on his hands but the signs are more promising

I am sick of excuses for getting flogged. I know we are undermanned but the workrate isn't high enough or the discipline. Too many times opposition teams can run 'coast to coast' untouched and there is no excuse for it. Regardless of the skill level (and there is still some supposed skill left on the field - Yze, Bruce, Johnstone, etc.) the opposition should be made to earn every score they get. Tonite we showed it in patches but go to sleep too often and when you lose scoring firepower like we have, lapses in concentration are unacceptable. End rant.

3 - Davey - Great to have him back in form. Cleary showed who is the best Davey.
2 - Bruce - Was clean with his hands when he needed to be. Is the only Melbourne player who stands up every week.
2 - Rivers - Gun. We have missed him something shocking.
1 - Petterd - Encouraging signs.

Moloney unlucky.

Pretty much agree with your votes Kly.Again Demons smashed at clearances! Brocky we need you!

On the positive side 1st gamer Petterd was a shining light.

How about 1st Round Draft pick and Travis to West Coast for Chris Judd?

gee that has been proposed yet wat an idea

Miller has been the main positive so far this year imo. Took 2 contested marks on saturday, if he took 2 a week you would be happy, and also got put to the sword by Hall, the only man he has ever beaten in defence, hopefully ending all future attempts to play him there. And he is kicking goals despite terrible delivery and jack shit help inside the forward 50. Davey has definitely turned it around as well, just need some forward structure and Brock and we'll be alright. Unfortunately by the time we get them back we'll be 0-7 and absolutely gone, before surging up the ladder to about 10th to not only miss finals, but miss a top 5 draft pick as well.
