Oh don't be so malodramatic and rediculous!

Hird wasn't the only player to try hard all day:

Lloyd 4 goals with limited supply and half the Essendon score; McPhee worked hard and tried to rebound every time he got the ball; Murphy worked all day and maybe wasn't as polished as everyone wanted but he still never threw in the towel; Allan worked hard in the ruck and we actually won the tap outs (not his fault only Port fed off him!); Rioli looked sharp more often than not; Watson showed skill and ability in his first full game.

Yes it fell away terribly after that but don't make such a sweeping grand statement the belittles the other guys who worked hard and were just as frustrated as us with their other team-mates.
