We have a fantastic relationship with NB and with Werribee. They adopt the same style of game plan we use, they play the guys where we want to develop them, they give them as much game time as we desire them to play and they allow our coaches to address our own players after the main coach has finished during the breaks.

It is really a fantastic relationship we have and with the dual alignment it is much easier to get players playing in the desired positions because clubs don't draft a backup team, sometimes they have a lot more players of a particular position, when we played Collingwood a lot of their players played out of position out of necessity.

cool story and that has what exactly to do with richmond and coburg.

quite clearly our model doesnt work, im sure our listed players don't even have an idea of who half the coburg team even are(Lack of talk)

We need a standalone side and we need it before next season

ah so thats why I can never remember who NM are aligned with.

Thanks for that- it certainly does make sense to spread em around if theres too many of a certain sort, but it does mean that they are going to not get to play as much with each other whilst developing.

Come to think of it, that seems less important than the freedom of being able to play position / role they are supposed to be developing.

I got the distinct impression that the RFC lads played where RFC wanted not Coburg, and that Coburg hamstrung in looking after their own players at their own team. Could well be wrong tho, as I have zero actual knowledge about this - would, however be interested to know should someone here enlighten me?

I was of the understanding that the relationship with Coburg was going as well as expected.

Don't blame Coburg that our second string players are shit or very young.

Or injured, as the case may be at the moment.

i think mcguane has been the weak link back there and wouldn't mind goo in for him.
webberly for edwards sounds good
and browne in for graham

the problem i have with being aligned with a vfl team is the emphasis is on winning, rather than development, of course winning creates confidence and a winning culture, but is it the best for the players development? in my opinion no.

Ok....I will be getting to the end of my tether if the Goo and Webbs do not replace the injured Watson and miss-firing McGuane. I really want to see if the Goo can cut-it against quality opponents.

? Edwards? White? Tuck? Thursty?
reckon thewy will hold onto McG vs tall Dons, possibly bring in another tall ? Moore is listed TBA, and I reckon he will come straight back in, or Goo or Post even, or replace Edwards with White if right, or Webbers, tho weve had Farmer as emergency so....
