I reckon the RFC should have a members forum at the Richmond Town Hall for everyone to confront the issues that perplex our club.

We need answers, but we also need to go forward in this competition TOGETHER.

We can sit here on message boards and talkback radio and just bag the crap out of the club, or we can get together and say what we want as a UNITED group.

Until we get unity at this club, and until we get open and honest feedback from the club, we will continue to be frustrated.

We are going nowhere this year - that's obvious. If they want to support Danny till the end of the year, there's not much we can do about that, but supporters need the same support from the club that Danny is getting.

And by that, we need to be shown the direction the club is heading, where we're at at the moment and what do we do - AS A UNITED CLUB - in the future.

20 years of disunity, frustration and backstabbing is enough.

I am sick of it, no doubt there are many more.

Come on RFC, do something now before it is too late.

Just dont go to any more games. Go watch Coburg every week. When the Coburg games have more members and supporters watching them than the senior side, the supporters wont be the laughing stock of the AFL. The administration will be.

And the so called senior players on their $400k contracts may just feel embarrassed that we prefer to watch the kids that are trying hard every week, rather than them embarrass themselves against the bottom team.

And thats exactly what they deserve.

Just leaving us wide open for the "woodwork" taunt when we ultimately do turn things around.

Although, without any supporters, we may not ever even reach that stage.

GhostofJimJess, I agree be damned if you do and damned if you dont.

We are always going to have the following said about Richmond supporters:

We eat our own young if we could
We are ferals
We are the biggest bandwagon jumpers in the comp.

Kind of annoys me but unfortunately I have to live with it and hope oneday I can be the obnoxious one giving it back.

And have the club fold up? Become another Footscray? Or have the club merge with another for survival sake? Do you really want to put the club through another "Save our Skins"?

You've paid your membership havent you? That makes you a financial supporter of the club. Doesnt matter if you watch the Coburg kids or the seniors, you've already handed your money over.

There is a difference between being a financial supporter, and a frustrated supporter that watches players on good money kick the ball to the opposition, coaches unable to inspire their team, and idiots in the stands making every Tiger supporter look like they've just been let out of the asylum.

You can be a financial supporter of the club but lend your support every week to the kids playing at Coburg.

That doesnt jeoperdise the club financially, you get an opportunity to encourage the next gen of Richmond players who may just appreciate it more than the highly paid seniors, and you dont have to watch idiots spitting on players that deserve to be ignored, and a coach for that matter.

And you'd be sending a strong message to the administration without hurting the club financially.

And you'd live longer

How about we start by letting the club know that W Brittain has no righht to be there in 2005??

Ive asked on another board but seems Tiger fans are just too seperated and individualistic to actually band together our power.

Apathy by its supporters is a very worrying sign for the club 2JD.

I feel the same way as you.

I think the time has come for a complete overhaul of the club. Greg Miller is the only one worth keeping at the moment. Clinton Casey has a lot to answer for as has Frawley for his recruitment decision making and the recruiting dept. All positions should be thrown open and each person re-apply for their jobs as is done in some large organisations.

Obviously the decision casey has made to outsource the marketing function has backfired big time and campbell is now the scapegoat.

Like I said on my other thread, our club is going down the ****ter and every single one at the club has to answer for it.

F^%k IM ****ED OFF!!!!! I cannot see any light at this friggin club.

the way i read it.it was the timing of it all that caused the problem.
what im peeved about is a caller on SEN this morning rang up and said he knows of one major company was interested into getting into the AFL and was willing to offer a million dollars of sponsership to our club.
they got not reply.
one of 2 things here happened.
1/.-total incompitance[sp] on our behalf
2/-conflict of interest with either one of our other sponsers or the AFL.s

i hope its the 2nd.

cheers!

even if it was the second we should of taken it anyway ala Brisbane lions, hell if its a million dollars we could have made a half mill profit after the AFL fine.

its staggerring that someone has a large amount of money to throw at our club and gets no response

You're 100% right. Unfortunately, you need to check the dates of the post you're quoting. It was the day after the Crows mopped the floor with us in Melb and we put up an insipid performance in a game we had to win to keep our season alive.

Even you would recall that emotions were running high that week. If you dont, I'll remind you. It was the day I became an amusement for you.

I'll go you one better.

There is probably no more than a handful of companies that can afford to spend $1m on the one sponsership. But there are many that can afford $100-200k.

We're not getting either of them

Even if its the 2nd there is no excuse not to reply. Burning our bridges if that's the case.
