Taken from the Port Site SANFL report - good to see him back after the injury.

Wade Thompson (for North reserves v Glenelg reserves @ Prospect) - Not a big possession game from Wade but he had a big impact with his defensive pressure, applying 8 tackles. Still showed signs of his electrifying speed and kicked a nice left foot snap goal. It was pleasing to see him still have an impact even when he’s not necessarily getting too many kicks.

I guess as Wade's buddy this year I should include that he has been officially delisted by the club.

It is a real shame that Wade's obvious speed and talent were not able to be utilised in the AFL - he was probably quite unlucky with injuries in 2010 majorly disrupting his SANFL season and he never really got another crack at making the AFL side.

I hope that he has a long and successful career, and can find the confidance that he seemed to lack in his own skills.
