It's do or die this weekend for Swans and the Royals, at Bassendean Oval, as they fight for the right to play the Tigers in the Grand Final.

Swans are coming off a relatively pathetic performance, whilst the Royals are generating quite a head of steam. You can't help but admire the way Micale has the Royals playing, with physicality and hard running, both ingredients required to beat the Tigers. But when will the hard run of having to win every week for the past 7 weeks finally catch up with the Royals? Of course I'm hoping it will be this weekend, but.....

I expect this to be a brutal match, fuelled by the Travers and Wolfenden incident of the last time they met. Both teams have good forwards and defenses, midfields are probably fairly even, the ruck is where the Royals might hold an advantage. The older heads of the Royals have held them in good stead all season, like Wulff, Hancock, Swan. McKinley up forward has been a huge asset and Beeck and Clarke in the ruck has been a formidable duo.

Selection for the black and whites tomorrow night will be interesting because there are a few high profile players that don't deserve their spot in the team whilst the younger kids have been playing the better football.
I do know it will be an exciting time at Bassendean Oval on Saturday arvo, so everyone get down and scream for your team!:thumbsu:

GO the Royals

red card him Swannies

At the very least I have to reconsider my opinions of posters, because I previously thought Worsfold was one of the more sensible posters on the Eagles forum!:eek:

Davis and Potente in for the Black Ducks, their defensive pressure and hardness is required. Will Davis be too underdone though??

Where were you Royals supporters all season, especially when they were struggling? Got a few fair weather ones eh?;)

The Royals have tonnes of fairweather supporters. About 10 years ago, you never heard a peep about the Royals, then they won their 3 peat and supporters had come out of the woodwork.

Go the Duckies.

Swans clearly have the better team on paper but the Royals are playing with a lot of heart. I think they have a couple retiring who are "Kirk" like players for the club at the Royals.

H2H: Swan are $1.62 and East Perth are $2.15.
LINE: 7 (-/+)

Best bet I would say is the East Perth Line at +7.5. Not sure if they will win but I expect this to be a close match.

Swan Districts 25 up at three qtr time.

Royals started well but the Swans second quarter set them up.

Would love Aaron Sweet at Freo next year. 20 odd touches to three quarter time in a struggling side. Can't count the number of running bounces he's had.

Looks the goods.

And didn't I love being in the middle of them, on the hill! Great waving them off early as well! :D

Does Kraks give lip to the umps?, as it is a long time since I've seen a player get so many whacks around the head and get no reward, a free kick. Admittedly he did duck his head at times, but geez there were lots of times the head was a target.

No worries, dust off Phil Narkles head warmer, that will solve the problem.

Add Walters for next week.

Any chance we might get a free kick for a change next week! Bring on the Tigers! Hit em hard Swannies ...carn the mighty Black Ducks! :D
