Round 18 of the WAFL kicks off with the Jaws (East Fremantle Sharks) taking on the Rumbles (Peel Thunder) at Shark Park (East Fremantle Oval). While the Jaws are all but out of the finals race, they have some tough competition against the Rumbles who will playing for their future. Many supporters I've been talking to say that if Peel makes the finals this year, the chances of their survival look stronger. A loss this weekend will probably see them only have 4 more games to play.

Over west at Leederville Oval is the clash of the titans - Dean Buszan vs Scotty Cummings. East Perth and Swan Districts play in a game where the outcome will be decided on which full forward kicks the most goals. Both players are on the Eagles list, but with big bustling Troy Wilson kicking the odd goal with the Weagles these days, my tip is that the club will only keep 1 extra full forward. Watch East Perth play the Merry-go round with the Eagles rookies - It's like Big Brother 2, which player will be evicted from the Eagles team to play for them.

Claremont vs Perth is the other day game being played on the Saturday. Claremont will be in an absolute stink that they have lost top spot to South Fremantle, so be on the lookout for a few players with fire coming out of their ears. Perth's excuse for possibly not winning is that the Claremont players do in fact stink, and they told coach Stan Magro that they refused to match up on their opponents with bad BO!

The WAFL has been kind to Fremantle supporters in scheduling the South Fremantle vs Subiaco game on a Sunday, so they can support the Bulldogs after another Docker Shocker against Collingwood. Come on down to Fremantle Oval (they had to name the oval this so it wouldn't confuse those Freo fans) on Sunday and cheer for your team!

The luck of the draw has West Perth sitting out this week for the bye after their stunning come from behind win against Subiaco last weekend. Assistant Coach Craig Turley will be taking the boys on an adventure surfing holiday under the guidance of Surf Instructor Tony Modra.

Remember to get back to Real Footy,

Very informative post GoEagles :)

But, technically, Claremont haven't lost top spot - I'm pretty sure South have played an extra game. :p
