A few good games coming up this week.

West Perth vs Swan Districts

Claremont vs South Fremantle

East Perth vs Subiaco

Peel Thunder vs Perth

BYE East Fremantle

The Claremont south freo games promises to be a thriller as does the subi east perth game after subi let one slip against west perth. Bit sad the sharks have a bye, we're in great form. Did anyone see the east perth vs sharks game, best wafl game ever. Beros and Gilmore look locked for the sandover also duffield must be in the run.

Thoughts?

East Perth v East Freo game wouldnt be the best ever by quite some margain actually. It was scrappy and skills were pretty poor at times it was only a decent game cause it was a close game and decided on basically the last kick of the game.

I would put Priddis in with a very good shot of winning the sandover up there with the usual suspects. Then to cap off a good year he will get drafted by an AFL club at years end.

Claremont v Souths looks like a good game but West Perth v Swans should be a ripper with the winner looking like making the 4. If West Perth win i think they will go to equal points with Swans but then it is up to percentage.

Should be a good week in footy.

How is South Freo going this year? It's hard to keep in touch with the WAFL living in Adelaide.

South Fremantle are doing well, they are one of only 2 teams to have beaten Subiaco this season and are sitting in 2nd spot, 1 game behind Subi. At this stage it looks like Subi and South will be the top 2 teams at the end of the minor round.

Last week it was great to see West Perth defeat Subiaco, it breathed some interest into the race for the top 4. Hopefully they can do it again against Swan Districts, but Swans would be slight favourite I think.

In the other games I think South will defeat Claremont, Subiaco to defeat East Perth, and Perth to defeat Peel.

South Freo could take it out this year all though I'll live in a hole in the ground in they do.(go sharks) Futhermore Subi are looking a bit shaky after that loss to the falcons. What does every one think of Dave Dunbar, dud or miracle worker?

Watched the Falcons and Subi game 2nd Half on the ABC. The Falcons never game them a sniff. Pretty good standard of footy - Generally to a contest all day -Not much of the super possession game played at times by the AFL clubs.
Some good games on this weekend.

It's the same in the SANFL, some fantastic footy being played. As you say, none of this possession stuff, just good old competitive footy the way it was meant to be played. Can't be bothered with AFL, it's a bore.

Subiaco are an awesome outfit when on fire, yesterday they were on fire! They just have so many runners wanting to receive a handball and running/pushing forward. When we have the ball they push back and cover the space in front of our forwards. A very fit side who can run all day and showed us once again our lack of pace and endurance at times. Luckily i only saw the first half as had to go into the change rooms for the colts game afterwards and thank christ i had to cause i wouldnt of been able to put up with it! Least the colts won and Matthew Carr played ressies for us.

Swans have proved a few people wrong once again. These few people tipped Swans to slip out the Top 4, for Claremont to take out outright 3rd position and West Perth to take out 4th.

After yesterday's win over West Perth, Swans move to 3rd on the ladder; West Perth's season is all but over while Claremont second loss in a row drops them to 4th.

Swans have the chance to move to outright 3rd next week if they beat the Royals at Steel Blue because Claremont has the bye.

Well Done Swans! ;) :D

I went to the West Perth vs Swans game and it was a very good game. It was even all day until Swans ran over the top of the falcons in the last quarter.

Go Subi!!!!!!

League Ladder after 17 rounds:

1 Subiaco 15 13 2 0 2 0 1831 922 198.59 52
2 South Fremantle 15 12 3 0 2 0 1587 986 160.95 48
3 Swan Districts 15 10 5 0 2 0 1518 1305 116.32 40
4 Claremont 16 10 6 0 1 0 1438 1276 112.70 40
----------------------------------------------------
5 West Perth 15 8 7 0 2 0 1238 1058 117.01 32
6 East Perth 15 6 9 0 2 0 1194 1446 82.57 24
7 East Fremantle 15 5 10 0 2 0 1053 1502 70.11 20
8 Perth 15 3 12 0 2 0 988 1598 61.83 12
9 Peel Thunder 15 1 14 0 2 0 948 1702 55.70 4

There's really only 5 teams left in it for the final 4 spots. There are 6 rounds left and West Perth have a must win game this week as Claremont have the bye, if they can win, they'll only be 4 points behind Claremont. If this does happen, Claremont's percentage could come back to haunt them. If it doesn't then West Perth is pretty much gone. At the moment i think the top 4 is set but stranger things have happened.

Reserves Ladder after 17 rounds:

1 Claremont 16 12 4 0 1 0 1366 894 152.80 48
2 Peel Thunder 15 12 3 0 2 0 1160 954 121.59 48
3 Subiaco 15 11 4 0 2 0 1325 1004 131.97 44
4 South Fremantle 15 9 6 0 2 0 1307 1085 120.46 36
-------------------------------------------------------
5 Swan Districts 15 8 7 0 2 0 1235 1110 111.26 32
6 East Fremantle 15 8 7 0 2 0 1061 1030 103.01 32
7 West Perth 15 3 12 0 2 0 919 1173 78.35 12
8 Perth 15 3 12 0 2 0 895 1291 69.33 12
9 East Perth 15 2 13 0 2 0 654 1420 46.06 8

Top 3 are certain of finals just depends where they finish. The Reserves comp has been tight this year. The real battle will be for 4th. The bye for East Fremantle last round didn't help their cause at all. It seems South might go through because of their good percentage.

Colts Ladder after 17 rounds:

1 Claremont 16 12 4 0 1 0 1353 934 144.86 48
2 East Perth 15 10 5 0 2 0 1210 808 149.75 40
3 Peel Thunder 15 10 5 0 2 0 1110 779 142.49 40
4 East Fremantle 15 10 5 0 2 0 1237 915 135.19 40
-----------------------------------------------------
5 Perth 15 10 5 0 2 0 1076 941 114.35 40
6 South Fremantle 15 6 9 0 2 0 1083 1081 100.19 24
7 Swan Districts 15 6 9 0 2 0 922 1230 74.96 24
8 Subiaco 15 2 13 0 2 0 780 1334 58.47 8
9 West Perth 15 2 13 0 2 0 557 1306 42.65 8

Same applies here, only 5 teams can make it, Claremont should finish top with East Perth, Peel, Swans and East Fremantle to fight it out for the last 3 positions. Perth's will need to win one more game than the other 3 to make it as they won't be able to improve their percentage to imitate the rest.
