There's only 2 games on this weekend, but how important are those games? Subi are pushing for a top 4 berth, win against Perth, on the weekend and they will be in the top 4. Falcons are playing to sew up top spot and the Bulldogs are playing to remain in the top 4.

Lions v Demons

The dees won earlier in this season in what has become a rare win for the boys from Lathlain. Can they do it again? Butler back is a very big in. The Lions have breathed life into the season, making it a real battle for a top 4 berth, they have more to lose.

The Lions also receive a boost in the return of Anthony, can he keep his workrate up enough to provide a suitable foil for Broadhurst. Waters has had a blistering start to his career, nice mid with a lovely left foot and accurate kick for goals. Cockie should be working into some form by the finals, should Subi make it and Bristow just keeps working hard. Horsley has had some season, to date, and those within the lair think he'll be picked up by someone in the AFL. Broadhurst, well we don't need to say much about the sterling season he has had, to date and he is certainly a critical factor in the team's form.

The demons have been as hot and cold as any team this year, knocking off the flying Falcons and almost beating the bulldogs. Can they replicate the form of the past few weeks? Butler back in is massive and could swing the match in the demons favour, but can they shut down the midfield and Broadhurst, that's the key. Sibosado might actually suit BB, he's mobile and can run and probably needs to have his interest piqued to get the most out of him. Zucconi to take Anthony will be interesting, as it's the type of matchup that suits Chooka, I think. Young, Elari, K-T, Florio, Jacobs will need to be on their game and McDougall v Rix shapes as an absorbing battle.
While I give the demons a chance I think the Lions will be in the 4 by the weekend.

Falcons v Bulldogs

The Falcons have been playing good footy all season and need to nail this win to assure top spot. The Bulldogs will be out of the top 4 if they lose and Subi win. There's a lot riding on this game, so expect a cracker.

The Falcons lose Bradley, but he's only played a few games so it won't hurt the team. Strijk is back (thought he was injured) and named in the centre. That's some luxury, being able to name one of your most potent forwards in the centre. LeCras takes up CHB, where he has been in career best form, IMO. Hutchings has been having a ripping season in the centre and there's Salecic leading from the front. Freo's listed Mellington has been having a very good WAFL season up forward as well, and one of the finds of the season has been Tregear. The midfield looks really potent with Guadagnin, Bewick, Browne, Rice, Van Berlo all in support roles.

The Bulldogs need to find their bite in this game. They'll need to play out of their skins, especially up at the windy city. Wilson has been in rare form, of late, and will need Murphy and the other lesser light forwards, to really shine. The critical match ups will be in the centre with Cook, Hams, Cooper, Dell-olio, Bairstow, Hasleby, Phillips, Miller, McGrath really having to play key roles for the Doggies.
I think the Falcons will just get over the Bulldogs in a ripper. ::thumbsu:
