OK, seeing as my thoughts on the weekends umpiring were similar to Pablo's, I thought we could have a discussion on why we think the umpiring is so bad. 
Is it because we are more critical? There is more attention paid to it because of the playback and replay functions we have these days? Or is it that as a society we are softer and criticism is simply not accepted or tolerated like previous generations?
Why do I think the old timers like Ball, James (VFL) were so fantastic but I wouldn't rate the recent guys in the same echelon?
Remember, we do need these guys to keep our great game running, so try and be constructive in your comments.
