Swans v Royals
S: Pearce
R: Shepheard

De Boer was listed under Claremont Reserves when I first checked but was taken off, could be that he is close or a misprint.

Would have been stoked to see DeBoer have a game. He will most likely play next week for Claremont. Few handy players in the Claremont reserves.

In the final round of WAFL pre-season fixtures last week, I stumbled across the stats and noticed that Sibosado played for Perth and ended up with 8 kicks, 8 handballs, 5 marks - playing backline. Also Hamish Shepheard played for East Perth but only ended up with 5 possessions, a couple of marks and 1 point.

Interested to see how Clancy plays this week. Both Shepheard and Pearce are listed in the back pocket for their respective sides. A good showing by Pearce may see him elevated for Roger Dodger. I reckon dodger has been put on the 8 week (long term) injury list now, because this current week is a week off and it will enable Dodger to get back to playing WAFL games 7 weeks into the AFL season. Whilst they are on the long term injury list they cannot play any form of footy for the min of 8 week period. Freo come round 7 of AFL may want for Dodger to play half a game in the WAFL reserves to build up to match fitness if he is ready. When Dodger and Mzungu are ready (approx. round 8/9 of AFL) there probably wont be a place for Pearce so he can return to Rookie list.

Lewis from the west tweeted about 15 minutes ago that the Eagles have released 16 players to the WAFL for the weekend, Fremantle have released none

West Coast - Jacob Brennan, Sam Butler, Brett Jones, Jordan Jones, Daniel Kerr, Scott Lycett, Pat McGinnity, Eric McKenzie, Ryan Neates, Brad Sheppard, Koby Stevens, Lewis Stevenson, Andrew Strijk, Tom Swift, Garrick Weedon, Blayne Wilson.

All guys who are short of a gallop.
Think McKenzie did a hammy yesterday at training...

Poor guy, deserved to go and not to have been put through the ringer by the WAFL and Peel holding him to ransom.

i can understand peel not wanting to let one of their few talented players go, especially so close to the season when they probably have no replacement

It also failed to mention that he also slapped his opponent in the face and called him his "Biaaaachhh!!!!!" Go Casey!:D:thumbsu:

Hahah.. what the hell??

Also, how did you hear that?!? :p

im thinking its DL1's sense of humour that heard that rumour, probably not something that actually happened...... a bit like when people were saying that brock obrien had chuck norris soiling himself when he's alone at night.... again, probably not something that actually happened ;)

You may be right KPR. ;) LOL I do think though that if Casey had a little bit of arrogance he might take that step up that we all need him to take for the team. I sincerely hope that he gets an injury free run this year to show everyone that he REALLY can play.

God knows that we need highly talented Key Position players to take over in the years to come.

Clancee has picked up the tempo this quarter. Looking pretty good now. Polak is dominating at CHF. Haven't seen Shep at all.

Saw Shep with one good handball and nothing else.

Pearce started poorly but is now amongst the Swans best, kicked a couple and set up a couple as well.

Wish there were more Freo players playing, good seeing Polak go around again, kicked a couple and presented well.

AND I'd almost forgotten what a complete **** Adam Hunter is, been focusing more on trying to act tough as everytime he gets the footy he turns it over.

Entertaining and high-scoring game though, how good was Coniglios burst thru the middle and pass to Clancee (who then missed)?

i agree on hunter, such a tool, he is trying to act tough to try and make up for his pathetic effort when approaching barry hall after he had yocked brent staker..... still one of the funniest things i have seen on a footy field when hunter went down like a little bitch after barry had glanced in his direction :D

Went to the Gummies match at Shark park, was like an Eagles scratchy.

It is a real shame that Brock Obrien and Foster suffered from the injuries they sustained in their playing days for freo.

Foster is smooth, his disposal and pace is fantastic chipped in with a very polished game across half forward with 4 goals.

Brock Obrien is the best set shot along with Ian Richardson in the WAFL.

Both have faultless approaches and left foots to match.

Lewis Broome, an eagle he may be brings an energy and hapiness to his football that is infectious and brings a smile to the face of those watching.

Great day at Shark Park :thumbsu:
