Phil, I'm not too sure if I've got any experience, but If you like this little piece I've put together let me know and I'll be happy to cover the WAFL games.

---

After the tragic performances of the Eagles and Dockers this year, fans are flocking back in droves to see the WAFL, where grass banks and Munch 'n' Go vans overrule the plastic seats and sushi rolls at Subiaco Oval.

Round 17 sees Scotty Cummings line up for Swan Districts against the Shaaaaaarks AKA East Fremantle. This game is sure to attract International headlines and mass media attention because it's 8th vs 9th (You all do realise there are 9 teams in the competition!) I think the boys from Bassendean Oval need Rolf Harris as their coach next year, John Todd - you are the weakest link!

Subiaco Oval is the venue between Subiaco and West Perth. This will be the game of the round because they played a draw in Round 7. Both teams will be desperate to get the 4 points on the board so they are in the race to play finals footy. Players have been advised not to run, twist, turn, jump or move faster than a crawl so they won't be the next victim of the Subiaco Knee Strangler!

The East Perth Royals... or should it be the East Perth Eagles go head to head with Perth at Lathlain Park. The real reason the West Coast Eagles have been losing this year is because Ken Judge has been coaching the wrong team! Thats right, East Perth who's alligned to the Eagles is sitting nicely in 3rd position with a big win on the weekend over league leaders Claremont. Perth have gone from an expensive box of Walker chocolates to a 60¢ packet of Black & Gold Humbugs. With only 5 wins, they might want to try and cast a spell on Daniel Bandy, so he can return playing with the Demons.

And finally, Peel Thunderation takes on the South Fremantle Rabied Bulldogs. Peel are playing like every game is their last, and by the end of the year they will of played their last game in the competition. Their only hope to remain alive in 2002 is to have a thunderbolt strike down another team in their last 6 games. South Fremantle is playing an exciting style of footy under Suma (Peter Sumich) and a win on the weekend will see them move to top possie.

Finally, the WAFL has allowed Claremont to have a bye this weekend, so they can go into hiding after their shocking performance last weekend.

Hey GoEagles,

You missed the bit about how the people that are flocking back to the WAFL will soon flock back out of sight if the presidents get their way and kick Peel out.

I have still yet to hear anyone outside the 8 presidents who actually want to see them out. I've been to 3 WAFL games this year, and if the presidents get their way, I will never go again to a WAFL match. And i'm not alone. It's not so much that I love Peel, just that if they go, it shows plain and simple that the WAFL clubs are not in it for the good of the game, merely for their own egos. And I refuse to have anything to do with a competition which is there for the benefit of a few ********ers with big egos. heck them. Rant over.
