I just can't work out why Waite needs to do this, it's undisciplined and letting the team and fans down, he's so crucial to u

In saying that though, I'm not usually confident with Jarrad, but in this case common sense will prevail and he will get off, it clearly was not head high contact and was a fair hip and shoulder, should be thrown out and he needs to stop ****en doing this shit

Very stupid thing to do, should get withdrawn unless Macca and Co think its in his own best interests to cop a week for plain stupidity!!

Maybe we can sit him out front of the playing group in a chair????:D

Bias aside, what is the view on the Hams bump on Armfield?
Really hope he gets off. I realise that Armfield may be in a critical position, but at the end of the day, it was two guys going hard at it, feel sorry for him

View is there was no malice intended, only for a fair bump to be laid... but head contact has been eliminated for this reason and he will get weeks as the AFL try to eliminate the bump in a way that it's not officially eliminated from the game, but the players begin to choose not to do it...

and head high collisions have impacted our team greatly considering Stevens injury and hopefully Armfield's career is not affected by this one.

The only concern Hams has is he elected to run past the ball to bump and did make head high contact which has caused serious injury.

I might need to watch it again though to make sure I did see it correctly.

Yea hams is gone, cannot put someone in hospital, run past a ball, and hit high. at least 2.

Waitey will be fine, unless carryover points are there :(

This game is a disgrace if waite gets suspended for that. Clear hip and shoulder that connected with his opponents shoulder too. Nothing to answer for at all. That little pussy that went down sooking should go and play netball if he can't handle a little hip and shoulder.

That idiot Quartermain clearly hates the Blues. Waite's in trouble but the guy who cleaned up Armfield which clearly hit his neck should be ok. What a t*rd. Loved it when Dunstall threw rice on him :thumbsu:

Should have thrown the bowl at Quarterbrain as well ............

Nothing in it, he was lucky there was no contact to the head, if there was Waite would be a dead man walking with his record, as it stands it should get thrown out.

Side on vision completely clears him.

Was shoulder to shoulder, will be fine.

Yep, side on view showed there was no contact to the head, strange thing is ch10 only showed that vision once, they kept on playing the other angles and started foaming atthe mouth... poor effort.

He will be cleared but this is still a problem. Seems like he still haven't learn from the past mistakes. It was a stupid thing to do. Malcom Blight said it right, Waite should have gone for the smother but he chose to act tough.

Hams is in trouble. High impact and Reckless/Intentional conduct will land him with 2-3 weeks. Not saying it is right but he made a decision to go the hip and shoulder on a player going the loose ball coming down. MRP will string him up.

Waite is lucky. Shoulder contact and effectivly in the course of play will see him get off. With no high contact, medium impact (keeping in mind that A Selwood has bung shoulders) and at worst negligent intent (I see it as a valid option for Waite, though he should of gone the smother or tackle) his case will be thrown out.

Who knows? Didn't think Cotch made head high contact and he got 4. So based on the consistancy of the MRP he should get off. Plus he has already been shafted by them this year! Hope he gets off for Footy's sake.

have you ever played football before? You should never try and play soft or change your game. The times when you don't try 100% are the times you get hurt or make mistakes.

It was a hip and shoulder that connected with a shoulder. It's textbook. If Selwood was not involved in the play and 5m away from it then it's a downfield free kick. Waite will be fine.

This game is a disgrace if waite gets suspended for that.

The games already a disgrace. Demetriou and Anderson are slowly killing it, with the help of the soft **** rules committee and this joke of a tribunal system.

Still stupid of Waite considering that he should know the current rules of the 'contact' sport he plays.

I would have thought that the incident with Armfield/Hams demonstrates EXACTLY why the AFL/MRP are trying to stamp this stuff out.

Thankfully, Waite had enough awareness on this occasion to get down low and make sure it was shoulder to shoulder contact and so he'll be fine. Still, would have been nice to see him lay a Spalding like smother, run on and collect and slot it through for an easy goal ... but hey, small steps!

Hams on the other hand is G. O. R. N. ... he completely ignored the ball, went straight at a player coming the other way, made contact with the head/neck and put a guy in hospital. But for a bit of luck, Armfield's neck could have (may even still have) been badly damaged.

And Quatermain's bias was on show for all to see ... was bending over backwards to support Hams and then was doing everything possible to put Waite in the shit. The man's an ass of the highest order.

come on... 'diving squib' selwood is reported to have some sort of shoulder injury. it's probably why he looked as though he was in some pain rather than trying to milk it. waite must have really clunked him.

shame about the armfield bump, but it looked alright to me. just got him right down the middle i think.

Have to say i disagree with those saying Waitry was dumb in doing it.

He managed to deck an annoying opponent who makes life tough for Juddy. When you've got the physical ascendancy in a game it's a big advantage.

As far as "learning his lesson" goes, Waitey delivered a bump to an opponent's shoulder in textbook fashion. Lesson learned?

I wasn't sure whether Hams actually got Armo high - if he did he'll obviously go, but if not i hope he doesn't.
