Just throwing one up for discussion. I've always thought Walker was a waste of space as a footballer until this year, he seems to have bulked up a bit and winning alot more of the ball in his AFL games this year. He had an absolute blinder for Peel on the weekend. Throw him in the midfield and basically tell him to concentrate on winning his own ball (as opposed to worrying about a forward when playing as a defender), run and kick long.

He obviously wants to play and after a performance like that You would have to play him.

Jesus, how many chances is that guy going to get? Walker always puts in a good performance for Peel and ALWAYS goes missing the week after. He should be delisted at the end of the season for being gutless.

Seems to do very well most times he gets a game actually, just for some reason he is out of favour and gets dropped after every game he plays no matter how good it is.
Is averaging over 16 disposals per game, has kicked 3 goals and runs with the ball well.
The coaching staff need to show some faith and tell him to just play football.

Agreed!
My biggest beef with him was that he got knocked off the ball too easily in one on ones. He's alot stronger this year, stop giving him the negating defensive role around half back and just tell him to go for it in the middle. He's not an explosive runner like Davey or Judd but he is quick on the gallop no doubt about that.
Tell him hes in the team to win us games, back himself and go nuts.

UNLEASH THE MAD DOG! Hes been a good sport for too long.
Sh*t can't be any worse than the current set up and we may finally get some good dividends from a player who has 150 games experience.

Oh yeh and move Parker or Thornton onto the Wing!

I dont mind Thornton as a defending half forward, picking up the oppositions running defender.

As for Jimmy, does anyone remember the confident young kid that amde his debut against the Dons on a Saturday night? Kicked a lovely goal on the run from 50+ with his first kick. Where has he gone?

as his buddy. i feel it is my responsibility to agree with everything positive said about him. the team needs pace through the midfield? then throw him in there and tell him to play with the same confidence as he would when playing for peel. screw this backman shit, we've already got half a team of those

Ill tell you why Belnakor. For Peel Jimmy plays as a hard running "attacking" midfielder. Showed it on the weekend when he had 29 possessions and 3 goals to half time finishing with 37 possessions and 4 goals. Best I have ever seen him play.

When he gets a gig in the dockers lineup CC persists playing him in a negative role. He gets a run with role or plays him deep in defence and uses his run. Its about time CC took a look at his WAFL performances and where he got the footy while playing for Peel instead of just looking at the stats and thinking to himself... "shite, jimmy got 37 possessions in the backline, lets give him another chance down there..."

I thought he was one of our better players against the dogs, unlike half of the team he never gave up and put in 4 solid quaters. I'm not sure if any other player in that game could say that.
