Schulz will be more damaging at CHF and Hall needs to keep playing at CHB to keep improving. Hall is 196cm and 97kg, but he badly needs to bulk up to 105kgs. This season was his first real run in defence and he actually did well on half of his opponents. He also got a bag kicked on him about 5 times, but on those occasions he was outmuscled. Hall has the height, speed and athleticism to match most tall fowards. He would have to be close to the fastest in our side and he has a massive kick when he runs down the ground. I really hope that he goes crazy in the gym and by round 1, his size could be intimidating. With more experience as a defender, Hall will get better and better. At times when he has the ball, he isn't too alert of what's around him and he has been caught in defence, but he's improving and at CHB. He is a good spoiler and that's his main role.
I'm hoping we get Patrick Bowden, he is 191cm and 91kgs, but he looks skinny. If he builds up to about 98kgs, he can be a key position player. It's exciting thinking how each player will play to their 100% potential, rather than the 80% they played in the Frawley mess. If Hall can do the job at CHB, Schulz at CHF and if Gaspar is over his knee and has full confidence, we may be look the goods. Gas was the key to our defence for a few seasons and he did his knee and came back 10 rounds too early this season. He was restricted to only playing at 80% for half the season and by then his confidence was so low because he couldn't stop his opponents because his body wouldn't allow him to. His confidence would have stuffed the second half of his season. I'm sure he would have worried about even running out onto the ground with the crowd on his back. It would have been frustrating. All his knockers really have no idea, but I can see the real; Gaspar coming out on round 1 and continuing on from where he was before 2004 and becoming a key player for the next 3 years.
