Northey, Walls, Geishen, Floppy. None of them could get the best out of Richo.

Dont really care how many games we win next year, but one thing that's going to tell me if we're going to be playing finals under Wallace is how many goals Richo kicks in 2005.

Will Wallace be the coach that gets the best out of Mattew Richardson?

I've got a feeling that Wallace is one of the few coaches that may be able to get more out of him. Just a hunch.

If he doesnt, then bets are on he turns him into another Libba. Running around scratching opponents behind the play.

I think that TW will get the best out of Richo... Just look at what he did in his first year at Footscray, he basically turned every player into very hard workers and all team players. I think he will get the best out of him. Go Tiges for '05'

At the end of the day, Richo would still be a walk up start in every single team in the AFL
Even Port & Brisbane would fit him in

he is a great player. If u let the guy play and dont put too much pressure on him i think u will get more out of him. if wallace is smrt he will leave him alone and he will get the most out of him

maybe we have seen the best of richo and its as good as it gets and we have to accept that he never gonna reach the heights we hoped for.Hard to see him changing now at his age .Accept him for what he is a enigma that is comming to the end of his career

Totally agree, there is only one way Richo is leaving Richmond, and that's retirement.

To suggest otherwise is just plain stupidity, i mean why would the club trade him away?

yep and maybe after retirement he will be a coach, hopefully not a Forward coach

I'd say at best Richo has 150 goals left in 3 seasons for us. That's at best. He was ok this year, but take a look at the few years before this year and it's not too encouraging.

I think Richo would make an excellent forward coach, teaching all the tactics of positioning, leading etc. and showing how to mark in different situations.

One thing i wouldn't want him teaching is kicking from within 20m of the goals, though!

Get off his back... Bloody hell, can you imagine what we'd have the last 10 years without him?

He's the heart and soul of our current playing group. He bleeds for the RFC as much and maybe more than all of us.

He is a champion, and will go down with Knighter as our only Champion of the 90's. Shame because in a good team he would've won a Brownose..Brownlow or two.


Lay off him.
