Fremantle small forward Michael Walters is set to return to the club and participate in selected training sessions.

“We are satisfied with the progress Michael has made so far, and believe that he is now at the stage where he could benefit from returning to the club to participate in selected training sessions,” Bond said.

Well done Michael, could of gone either way.

Probation I'd say. Not a full pardon. Come down for Mondays & Wednesdays back to Swans for Fridays, play WAFL on the weekend, keep your weight down, train hard for another few months and we will review it.

He would not get a game on current form, and the fact that we have a full list to select from (Mellington would be a player in the mix with him if available).

How much can this guy offer? I would expect him to be kicking 2 goals per game, 2 assists, 4 tackles and around 25 possessions at WAFL. He is close to that.

He has a lot of energy, however has some mental issues that hopefully he can overcome. Definately has the skills to achieve consistent AFL.
