Does this mean if I drive down to Sydney tomorrow and just walk around the Freo hotel foyer for long enough I'll get picked to play on Barry Hall? :p

I think I'd be the only one with the size to match up on him :o

You'd be a chance I reckon big fella! Just don't stop at any pubs on the way and you're a cert. If I remember correctly, you're underage anyway so that shouldn't be a problem.

I'll get my footy boots and Freo jumper and jump in the car :p

Barry Hall vs Kapow!!!

Barry Hall: 194cms 101kgs Born: 8/2/77
Kapow!!!: 193cms 105kgs Born: 27/7/89

I'd be giving away a bit of experience :p

Now, we might have to sacrifice you at the match review panel though. At least you won't have any priors. Reckon you'd be able to pole-axe or king-hit Big Bad Bazza for us? Might prove to be the match winner.

I dunno, I'm just coming back after Nose surgery, I don't want it smacked completely off my face. As long as I'm not required to go below the belt I think I might be able to win us this one on Sunday :p

My young fella has got the whole kit - guernsey (home only... but I'm sure they won't be too picky in the current situation), shorts, socks and a new pair of Nike footy boots (a size too big so they fit him next season too - :D - but that's okay cos he just wears two pairs of socks). He's still in Auskick, but after last week's effort, he should fit right in.
He also won't expect any payment - a sleepover at Pav's, maybe share a pepperoni pizza with him and watch Star Wars or Harry Potter would keep him happy till the regular guys are all ready to go again. He'll even bring his own sleeping bag and sleep on the hotel room floor... he's really quite easy to please. Got a bit of height about him for his age and at 138cm and 35kgs could be really useful down back....

Two selection criteria - 1, he's not colour blind, and 2, he can force a behind when needed. That's all I ask. I'll put the little fella on a flank next to Kapow. Now, how many more do we need?

Hey if he doesn't work out for him playing in the backline he could always take over CC as coach :D

Er...um...what I'll be doing to Barry Hall I really don't want the little tacker to see...I don't wanna teach him any bad habits or anything :o

Don't worry - I think he has his eye on the job. He asked me today if you have to have played in the AFL to be able to coach. Could very well have been a loaded question!

1. not colour blind - so that's okay.
2. Hubby and I can take him down to the school oval across the road and teach him some of the finer points of forcing behinds and not knocking it back in for opposition forwrads to soccer miracle goals out their backsides, then we'll stick him on a plane Saturday morning. He's flown on his own before, so he'll be fine. All sorted.

Wow. Stick a 50 dollar note on his jacket and sing Born Free whilst he's getting on the plane and he just MIGHT be the next coach of Freo :p

EDIT: Don't ask me what that has to do with becoming the coach of Freo it just sounded funny when I read the above quote and remember watching a movie :o

Dammit, i've been rebuked because my guernsey has the wrong sponsors...

damn alinta gas

- but they said if matty were to go nekkid and paint 17 on each cheek he can line up at HBF

I'll play a half back flank, at about 187cm and 70kg i'm a bit light, but so's hawthorn's joshy thurgood and he goes alright. although i dont really have the courage that young josh has, i envisage myself as the 'dont take an opponent, run off your man through the midfield type of role' that gathers 30 possies and 3 brownlow votes a game, plus ive got the white boots to match

now what jumper numbers are still free?
