Wanting what you can't have?

Why is it that so many of us only want what we can't have?

For me, it's my best friend. But in the last couple months i've put away a couple of hotties and had a fair amount of interest from them going on...but I just don't want them. I'll take the roots as i'll explode without them, but once a woman is interested, I lose all interest in them (no matter how attractive).

Who else is the same? I know alot of my mates only want what they can't have too.

I used to be, but then I realised there's no point dwelling on it, as you'll just go insane with the what ifs.

Besides, going by your theory, when and if your best friend does get interested, you'll lose interest anyway. What's the point?
