Was Jake King the difference?

Didn't see the game yet but from what I hear we dominated the inside 50's but just kept bombing it in...Jake's the type of player who looks for leading targets
and we sorely missed that today...just my opinion

Jake has got alot out of himself and I am inspired by what a guy has done through hard work and passion.

But he will never be the difference. Once we say that we lost a game because we were missing Jake King, we run the risk of killing our opposition with laughter that damages vital organs.

The four of us watching the game on TV were left wondering about this. Nahas certainly filled the small forward role very well, but the sheer number of times the ball hit the ground in our forward 50 meant that King would have snaffled 2-3 on top of that easily. So to call him the difference when Robbie kicked 5 is wrong, but we may well have won it.

Agree with the OP but also another thing I noticed was that once the ball went into our forward 50 it came out far too easily- needed some of that pressure to lock it in that Kingy had

I love Jakey King, but I doubt he was the difference.

The difference was down to a a coupl eof things as I see it - the absolute liability that is Angus Graham. (and that it a nutshell is the reason why we finished where we did and missed the finals)

Goldstein and McIntosh dominated the 2nd half - that coupled with Harvey playing a blinder was the difference IMO.

Don't know if King would have been "the" difference, but he may have made a difference, could definetely have helped the cause.

To be unbiased and honest though, players far more like to have been the difference were guys like Wells, Ziebell etc. We can't really complain about our OUTS compared to theirs.
