OK one of my friends lol whom will be unnamed cause he does use bigfooty lol. He works full time and weekends and when Ever Richmond play he never really turns up. He has gone to approx 3 Missed one because of a party when he had the day off and another because of something else. I have missed 1 game this year for work. I am sure I am not the only one that tries to swap shifts to fit in with Richmond games so i can be there. Whats the point of becoming a member if you don't go to games besides the money. Who else works weekends here and tries everything they can to get to the g or Telstra dome to watch us play. Footy comes first if you love footy then a Monday-Friday job would be in your best interest. Cause if you ask me Richmond comes first.

The point of getting a membership, imo, is to help the club financially. Games are just a bonus really.

As for going to the footy instead of working, you have gotta be kidding? What if we loose? I'd work any day of the week instead of watching Richmond.

Unless it were finals of course.

You have got to be kidding. You would want to go to boring work when you could be at the G seeing the Tiges? Stuff that shit.
Boring Money hungry knob lol. How boring a you? Bit of a girl too, who would rather sip chardonay and drive a boring yuppie bmw. Tiges on the weekend is miles ahead. You're a pretender. Buying a membership and bragging to the chicks that you go watch the Tiges with the boys? Don't bother spending time in here if you don't even get excited about going to the G watching the tiges. Gee, you would rather to do a chore and go to work. If you are a real tiger, then you should actually love going to see the team in person. Work is for the weekdays and weekend is for enjoying yourself. I work to live, you live to work. BOORRRRRRRRRRIIIINGG

Nah iam not kidding. I work every 2nd weekend both saturday and sundays. The day i worked when we were playing the dogs this year i hated it. I never ever wanna work on the day Richmond play it sucks. As above during the week is for work the weekend is to enjoy urself. I would rather go to the footy to watch Richmond win or lose then spend the weekend at work

Do us a favour and join the Melbourne storm forum and don't come back :thumbsd:

I buy my membership but can only go to Saturday or Sunday twilight games. I work 2 jobs and have taken off all games from my second job. There's nothing worse than missing the games but I have a mortgage to pay and getting double time on Sundays gives me the extra cash to by things like memberships.

So when you're 40 and paid the loan off you can start enjoying yourself?. All the money you saved won't be any use to you when you're gone. I say make the most of life and quit your second job and go to the footy :thumbsu:

Fortunate enough to be able to do it, but I schedule my week around getting to see the Tigers play.
Eg. If it's a Friday night game, I'll leave work an hour early to get the car home and get the train back in to the G or Dome to see the game, but I know that means I am going to have to work a couple of hours on Saturday or Sunday when I don't particularly want to.
And if I have weekend work, which I often do, it's a case of scheduling accordingly. We play Sunday like tomorrow and I want to be in the pub watching, I come in to work Saturay morning to get what needs to be done. If we were playin' today, I'd be in here at work tomorrow no doubt.
The way I see it....work pays the bills, but I don't live to work..I live to watch the Tigers!!!!
But that's one of the benefits of my job...the flexibility. Tigers come first.
Though you have to understand Madness, not everyone is as fortunate. A lot of people out there do it tough and giving up four or five hours of work (often at time and a half or double pay) to watch a game of football is simply not an option. You may one day dioscover this too, when you have a family of your own. I'm lucky to be single...I can go wherever I want, whenever I want and no one asks questions...but a family is adifferent situation althogether. There are other commitments.
As long as they are paid up and members, they're fine by me.
Also worth mentioning, despite the fkexibilty my work offers (albeit I work 70 hours plus a week), I am only ever a disaster or catastrophe away from missing a game, or leaving a game early should the call come through. Thankfully...that ain't happened yet (though I'd probably play dumb and ignore the call on my mobile until after we'd won!!!)

Good post Madtiger, your a passionate kid. Thats great stuff.

Fortunetly I'm in Sydney currently on business, just so happens i have a few spare hours on Sunday and i will be heading up to the SCG to catch the boys in action, where after that i am heading into the rooms with my boss.

Work as hard as i do and the rewards are great. Keep up the good work though.

BTW i dont work weekends, i just hate seeing the boys lose. Being only 19, i havn't seen much tiger success, so when we lose it feels like a loss in a grand final.

With the membership thats how i help the club, i dont get to many games these days, from the age of 14 till 2 years ago i didn't miss a game, but now days with a job so demanding it's hard to get to the games. I hate working just as much as the next but i do it to help my young family survive.

yeah iam only young myself 26 yet to see success year after year i wonder if i ever will. However win or lose i will continue to support Richmond have all my life and will continue to do so. I was there when we got smashed week in and week out. However i will be there in the coming years when we are a good side. Its not far off this year i can clearly say iam proud to be a tiger i really am. If anything i would think iam as keen as a tiger then anyone else. :)
