Well done Speedy nice to see you sticking up for yourself m,ate. There should be no room for elitism in here, even if a bloke/the other sex has been here for the last 5 years, its unacceptable mate. Ive got your back, although i too dont think Watt is a forward, i will defend you just for the sake of basic human rights - All should be treated equally.

Best defender this year??? Do you think he was better then Archer? Wow i thought Archer was outstanding this year. I thought Colbert had a very good year as well. Makepeace was very good this year too I thought. Was Watt better then those 3 players???

Yep, I'll stand by it.

Archer played predominantly up the ground this year, often off a wing. He did spend some time down back and was OK there, but his rich spell of form earlier in the year was when he was playing more in the midfield.

Colbert was OK. He had some of his customary great games, but often looked substandard and as though the game had well and truly caught up with him. He also did not have to play on Reiwoldt, Brown, Tredrea, etc like Watt did.

Makepeace was solid. Its a toss-up between him and Watt for our best defender, I give the nod to Watt because he was set bigger tasks, often negated his man and then had to move on to Brown's man because he was getting cained.

The Swans chased him hard in the early 90s. Mick was going to head to the Swans believing that he'd be able to become a forward for them, until Deni$ pointed out that since Mick had made his name as a FB, that's the role that the Swans would use him for. I'm happy that Mick came to his senses and stayed.
