Why a Tigers-Pies grand final is not necessarily a certainty

If you believed much of the commentary surrounding these two preliminary finals, you'd be forgiven for thinking they were foregone conclusions.

Leon Cameron deserves more credit than he's been getting for guiding this team to its third preliminary final in four years, particularly given the injuries they've had.

But while I'm still tipping the Pies – likewise the Tigers – maybe on Saturday he'll finally get those plaudits.

I think if you look at their list and the players they have traded out over the past 3 to 4 seasons they have performed under par by quite a margin how good would they have been with Grundy in their ranks not that it bothers me in the least that they had 5 chances to pick Grundy before us when he was drafted.

They also would have looked good with Witts in their ranks also,so for me Cameron has not been that good with the personel at his disposal they have had quite some talent go through their list no doubt about that.

That quote from Carey is pretty much what Bucks said this morning on Whateley. Why is everybody jumping on Carey because he gave his opinion? Most Magpies I know think we blew it as well and we did. Played rubbish for three quarters unfortunately, which is pretty much a reflection of our year to be honest.
I think out year was pretty ordinary with most games seeing us play below our best, scraping in at the end. Time to ensure DeGoey, Langdon, Dunn, Kelly, Murphy, Quaynor and Sier all have great pre-seasons and then snaffle a KPF.
