Fitzroy Lions gain Wayne Lamb and Martin Pike
from Melbourne for Marcus Seecamp

Demonwiki

A fiery character who had been reprimanded for abusive language, suspended two weeks for more language, three weeks for striking and four for throwing his mouthguard at an umpire before he'd even left the under 19's.

Debuted in a draw against Sydney but played just one more game before being cut adrift. He was assigned number 36 in 1993 and 1994 but suffered from injuries and didn't play a senior match either year.
Joined Fitzroy for two years in 1995 and 1996.

After debuting for the Demons in a draw, the last 20 games of Lamb's career were losses. He is the only player since 1952 to play more than 20 career games without ever having a victory.

I am holding in my hand a monochrome calendar titled Roy Boys 96-97 ( yes, 1997 ! ) Very arthouse.. On the front are Matty Primus and Wayne Lamb at the beach stripped to the waist in wet suits. Matty's surfboard is jutting out suggestively - the total homoerotic sporting package. All that rubber and rippling flesh ! They also happen to be the March 1997 pin ups. This is almost matched by June 1997 featuring Chris Johnson and John Barker in the SHOWER. Cripes. October 1996 has Jason Balwin with a large rod in his hand .. fishing that is, but in such a state of undress that every mosquito would have zeroed in for a bite. Thank God for the more homely shots - November 1996 at home with the Simons ( Hawking and Atkins ) over a nice cuppa on the patio and April 1997 sees Jarrod in the back yard with his pooch.

Just to top it off - snaps of both Doc and Mark Z. astride their Harleys next to the old footbridge at Brunswick St. Mark looks a little like Roger Daltry at Woodstock - all buckskin and hair. Unreal.
