but srs .. internet surveys are incredibly time consuming and technically you're still working.. I tried it once and I lasted two surveys and then gave up. Try entering competitions online. Dedicate a few hours to browsing websites and enter 40-50 comeptitions, you're bound to win something of some sort of value

If there was an answer to this question the economy would collapse.

Basically, any surefire way to make money 'without working' requires an investment of time per dollar significant enough to be classed as 'working'. Look at professional punters, for example.

Yeh, betting is an option.

I basically mean something on the computer, because I can't get a job right now for various reasons.

If you have a few thousand dollars sitting around doing nothing, dabbling in the share market can be a bit of a hobby. I am not much of a speculator but I make a few hundred dollars here and there buying blue-chip stocks when they take a small dive, then hang onto them for a few weeks until they recover. Trouble is you need to have a bit of capital otherwise the brokerage fees wipe out all your profits. Also it's not the sort of thing you depend on for regular income - I do it mainly for fun, and only when a bargain pops up, and I don't mind it if I have to leave the money tied up for a while in order to recoup.

Selling crap you don't need on eBay is a fantastic way to make money. People on there will buy anything.

I don't know much about punting. I have a few friends that fancy themselves but I suspect they lose a fair bit more than they win.

But seriously, go back twelve months and invest in Rio Tinto shares. That will remain my biggest regret, not getting on when they crashed.

Maybe study the AFL and bet on that? I'm a pretty mug punter but I made 1500 dollars on the finals series just taking value bets.

Brownlow betting can nab you an easy couple of thousand if you have even the slightest knowledge of football.

If you're dedicated enough to watch or at least read up on most games each week, keep track of votes and players (make your own leaderboard), learn voting trends (Swan getting 30 possessions won't always mean he'll earn a vote, for example) and know who is more likely to poll votes than others (Judd will always outpoll Hodge) then you can usually predict who will end up in the top 5 and place your bets accordingly.

Leading Votes Per Club is the real money earner, and hopefully the TAB allows it again this year. Plently of people on BigFooty last year won tens of thousands of dollars from only a few hundred dollar outlays.

Play with your dongle on webcam, there are plenty of creepy old men willing to part with their cash.

This.

A gay guy I know of is with a 40ish year old dude. He's just got back from a fully funded trip to NZ, and got a '09 commodore wagon bought for him. He just needs to ask for something and he'll get it.

So there you go BERBA, maybe the answer is homosexuality.

Gambling - Study up on poker and you can make a nice return at the casino against people with too much ambition and not enough ability. Though I personally don't believe you can make money on sports gambling (horses, football, etc).

Online store - If you can get your hands on a product at wholesale prices you can pick up a few bucks by re-selling online. If you sell from home you'll have zero overheads, so even a meagre 5% markup (plus postage) will see a good return if the volume is high enough.

Scalping - I hate this practice, but a lot of people do it to earn a couple hundred extra $$ with every big concert that's on.

i'm doing everything in my power to work as little as i possibly have to :)

unfortunately not working is impossible. but i'm not doing too badly. just work odds jobs and whatever is required when money gets a bit tight.

i don't waste money on things i don't want or require to enjoy my life and i hardly eat out so i don't need a large disposable income.

Buy 5000 ecstasy pills at $9 wholesale.

Break into batches of 1000 and sell at $13 wholesale

Make 20k

Use some of the profit to invest in Bodygaurd

Rinse and repeat this tried and true formula.

This is something I've done in the past ie. I purchased five inexpensive items and re-sold on online auction. On one of the sold items, I made 10x it's original price and no lower than 3x on the others. Easy money if you know what will re-sell.

OP - Selling on eBay can work. Gumtree is also good in the eastern states and the Quokka is your friend in the west.

In a capitalist society, high risk = high reward. Therefore your options are;

Sell drugs: Big profit, but big risks (jail time, physical harm)

Gamble: Horses, stock market, casino, football - whatever. You'll probably lose unless you have a formula you stick to 100% (and even then, you're more likely to lose than win unless you're a gun card counter or have inside trading information). Bankrupcy likely.

Rip people off: Internet scams, share dealings (a-la David Tweed), relationships with rich widows. Has risk of jail time and/or physical harm.

Or just get a job :)
