We seem to have a pretty good team this year who are playing well.

We are also a fit, happy, well coached unit who enjoy some the best off field support and facilities money can buy. Our boys can play, train and live away from the media goldfish bowl that is Melbourne.

We have a strong home ground advantage and a fvourable draw.

In short, everything seems to be going along nicely for us - SO WHY CAN'T WE STRING TOGETHER MORE THAN 2 GOOD QUARTERS OF FOOTY AT ANY ONE TIME ?

Our 2nd half fade-out on Sunday was totally unaccepatble. We had them on the ropes at halftime yet ONCE AGAIN we showed deplorable application and instead of going on and thrashing these useless Weagles, we let them back in the game.

It shows that no matter how good we think we are or how good everyone says we are, we remain an inteleectualyy and psychlogically WEAK team.

Champion teams don't take Valiums at half time.

Champion teams ruthlessly and efficiently destroy opponents that they lead by 47 FREAKKKING POINTS at half time.

I've seen it so many times before - I'm starting to get thoroughly sick and tired of the Swans just teasing me all the time. It happened in the practice match against Carlton 3 weeks ago, it happened so many times last season I lost count.

These guys are full time professionals who are paid a fortune for not doing anything except to make a 100% committment for 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon.

THEY CAN'T EVEN CONCENTRATE FOR THAT LONG - (for chrissake !)

Doesn't matter how bloody good we look on paper - we lack tye psychlogical and intellectual muscle required to win and win well.

Premiers know how to win, we don't.

cheers

Unfortunately BSA you have summed it up beautifully. I had a bad feeling at half time, I just knew they would relax in the second half. Thankfully, the Eagles didn't have enough polish to take full advantage of that and we get the 4 points (phew!)

All the pundits said that the Swans needed to win the close games this year to improve. What most fans know, however, is that the Swans threw away games that they had good leads in last year (North, Geelong, Brisbane to name some) and where they need to improve is their mental application. Yesterday's match did not show many signs of that improvement.

Had a little bit to say about your boys over in your board joddy.

basically what I said was that from what I saw on Telly on Sunday afternoon I really don't think you guys have alot to be worried about.

If Gardiner can grab marks, Morrison and Cousins keep running and your rather talented youngsters keep trying like they di yesterday then there is no way the WCE are gonna be the cellar dwellars that everybody has said they would.

I just wish for your sake that KJ would shut up bad mouthing his own boys all the time.

I heard he (Judge) said in the post conference that half your guys 'weren't serious'

WTFk ?

I read your thoughts on my board BSA but then i saw your comments above and it looked like one minute you were giving the Eagles a good wrap but the next saying that the only reason we came back was because of Sydney taking the foot off the accelerator.

I just wanted to see which one you really meant

I think from Sundays game both of us have nothing to worry about, Sydney look like certainties for finals footy and the Eagles look good enough to avoid the spoon and hopefully have a better year than last.
