...in percentage which is 136.4 thanks mainly to our miserly defence, more than 100 points less conceded than the next best team. :thumbsu:

Also averaging just a tick over 100 points a game, even after we scored 49 in Round 1! Who's the dull and dour team now?

Big question is when Big Bad Bazza returns, will it affect our forward line efficiency which has been fantastic in the last 3 games.

i believe we're a top 4 side right now... adelaide dont deserve to be there by the way they played the past few games. Bazza will be a great addition to the forward structure IMO. we will have two talls in him and playfair and he will also free up MOL and others. hope he has his kicking boots on!!

Our % isn't really important as what it would normally be due to our draw. Nevertheless, it WILL help if we are fighting for position with the Roos and the Dogs.

Your last point, has me worried as well. I really hope when Bazza comes back
that the guys dont become Hall focussed. On the plus side,im sure he will draw
the oppositions best defenders, freeing up our other forwards.

Today was also our 1000th win in our SMFC/SSFC history!...:thumbsu:

Is it just me, or should this milestone actually meen something?
Not alot made about it, very surprised!

crows in the first 8 rounds only played the teams in the bottom 8

I'm worried about that too. I hope we don't become too Hall-centric and simply kick it to him. Our forwards have pretty much step up and the goal kicking has been evenly spread. Kudos to MOL.

playfair out
dont need him with bazza in
and barlow is to come back in also, so he will stuggle unless he gets the nob before barlow. on his current form he might. but if we played a team like doggies with a hard running defence id go with barlow

Our percentage would be a fantastic thing if we'd kicked one more point against the Kangaroos. As it is, it's only going to come into play if we tie on points with the Bulldogs or North Melbourne.

So it goes. We're still a reasonable chance of making the top four. We still have to play Geelong, Collingwood and Adelaide in Sydney, the Bulldogs in Canberra and Hawthorn and Collingwood in Melbourne. If we're conservative and call those games losses, we're probably going to need to win the other six (St Kilda, Fremantle and Brisbane in Sydney, Melbourne in Canberra, West Coast in Perth, Carlton in Melbourne) to make the finals.

We need to win, at a minimum, two of those six big games to make the top four.

Playfair out, Hall in

Percantage is a massive deal becaise North, and Dogs also have draws.

We are good, Top 4 here we come, hey atleast top 6 we are guaranteed a home final

I would have said the same thing a month ago but now a Hall, O'Loughlin, Playfair forward line sounds rather good to me.

Have been a South Melb/Sydney all my life even still watch them in Sydney from time to time, back to my point we are to Barry Hall focused when he struggle's our forward line fall's down, then he get's cheap kick's on the wing which dosen't help our scoreboard.

Love Barry as our player but feel better if he had smashed Glass in the 06 Granny when he was dated, instead of wasting in it on Staker where we would have been back to back.

It's still possible that Collingwood, the crows or anyone gets a draw or we even get another one. Not to mention the Roos and the Dogs have draws too. Our percentage is important.

Its also a great factor in demonstrating how well were playing across the whole park right now.

Were a realistic contender for the top 4 and this season is wide open.

WERE RIGHT IN THIS.

Have you heard anything about about the Swans winning there 1000th game, is the club celebrating it in any way, merchandise, whatever? We are 6th of all time, Melbourne are on 1007 wins, we might pass them this year, just seemed strange that they are keeping quiet, heard through Tony Morwood, that they wanted to keep it hush till after the game, but still I havent heard anything? Busy printing or something?

I don't know Bigbez, were 6/8 from the originals to do it. obviously its the lions and St Kilda (Who will probably come in behind Richmond and Maybe Hawks who started after them).

Celebrating this milestone is still a sad reminder we have more losses than wins. the day this changes I want us to a chuck a huge party that even I will sing and dance at.

Yeah, they've released some limited edition shirts. I think there's a link on the Swans' homepage. Very exciting :)

It would kinda make us South Melbourne supporters feel good, our history remembered!

I heard somewhere that the Swans have had 20 more losses than wins in the entire history of the club. If that is true then it will only take a couple of years to beat if we continue to play good footy.

Unfortunately our record is a little worse than that.

Total Games Won: 1000 46.0%
Total Games Lost: 1152 53.0%
Total Games Drawn: 22 1.0%

I guess that's what comes of winning 11 wooden spoons. But we're closing that gap every year now. :thumbsu:
