Agree white has been awesome and at the moment is well entrenched in the best 22. If white stays fit , I don't think wel see reid again this yearGoodes for Lamb, Rohan for B.Jack, Shaw for Cunningham, let's cross the Jetta bridge if/when we come to it, and leave LRT and Reid as very important KPP depth.
And yes, that means I think White has moved ahead of Reid. He's been a different player since he's had Tippett at FF. Reid has an enormous ceiling, higher than White's, but with a less mature body and having missed a lot of footy, I'll take White come finals time.

I do think Horse in his wildest dreams would have thought the kids perform as well as they have. Pretty good problem to have, but you'd think the ol' LIFO rule would come into play here.
I know this will sound crazy but right now I actually like the idea that when Goodes comes back we play him as a defender. I would actually be quite happy to see on Grand Final day the players go into their positions for the opening bounce and Goodes is on Franklin, Grundy is on Roughead and Richards is on Gunston.

Goodes will be nowhere near the match fitness he would need to go with Frankilin. Did you watch Franklin the other night, he was on fire in terms of confidence.
Last in first outwhat is the LIFO rule?

Yep grand finals are the right time to roll the diceI have confidence in Goodes ability. Even if he is 80% match fit he would still make an excellent defender since defenders do not need to run as far as midfielders. Goodes has all the attributes for be a AA defender and even though he has not really played that role before I think Longmire should seriously consider doing it.

Would be a loose man in defence at bestI am not suggesting we try it for the first time in the Grand Final. I am suggesting that the first round Goodes comes back we automatically stick him in defence and see how he goes. Our last 2 home and away matches are against Geelong and Hawthorn so then would be the perfect time to try it and see if it works.

Goodes is a champ no doubt, it's just his fitness I would question, given he'll take a few games to start picking that up proper. I guess you can only try him and if it's not working, you then have a choice to make.
