I have met the bloke, Gibbs and Murphy are 10 times more intellectual then MK. Captains are not just on-field leaders, they must also be off-field leaders and able to communicate to the media. Every Tom, D!ck and Harry knows that. Can you picture seeing MK talking to the media about problems that might pop up? Like Fev in a spot of trouble again?

Gibbs would be 27 if Judd plays on till 32-33, and MK would be around that mark to.

You raise a very valid point BB, everything else about Bryce says AFL Captain. Loud and clear.

But I'm afraid the "yeah, nah" requirement is a deal breaker these days. If he can't work it into the vernacular by the time Juddy is ready to hand over the captaincy, he may well lose it to Murph.

it only counts when you make finals so hawthorn took 6 years to rebuild a finals worthy team,finals and premierships are what it's about,so no it was a rapid recovery
