So the reason Plugger wanted to come to Tigerland was one of convenience. At the time he was living out Berwick way somewhere and decided that with PRO being so close to the Monash freeway it would be easier for him to get to and from training and games than any other team.
We were struggling to afford to pay him enough but determined to do our best to make it happen.
He wanted us. We wanted him, but in all honesty couldn't afford him.
Then the AFL stepped in on Sydney's behalf and trumped our offer (by about 3 times) and the rest is history.

Shame.
