The foundations of the west were shook when Aaron James joined the club.
After previously reasonably successful stints at Collingwood & Richmond, the "lovable drunk" donned the red white and blue in season 2002.
After interrupted pre season (meaning that the pre season interrupted his drinking time) he would wear the vacant number 26 in Round 1 vs Adelaide.
Although playing a blistering game, his stat tally 1 shepherd was not enough to cement a spot in the first 22.
Half a season with the Bee's & 534 slabs later, James would announce his retirement from the game which gave him so many memories.
As season 2003 fast approaches, I'd just like to take this time to salute the only man to have played in the number 26 TOC jumper (that subsequently was the only one that wasn't sold at the completion of the auction later that year).
Aaron James - You'll forever be remembered for your one shepherd.
