Played with no heart what so ever, didn't lift for our great man. Lost to a bunch of kids. Disgraceful. There wont be September to talk about becoz we'll go over to Freo, a pumped up side of selfish pricks playing for their careers. They'll thump us. We're probably the most talented bunch ever not to play finals 2 years in a row. Really poor effort saints.

How did the Collingwood supporters take the kicking you gave them after the game? ;)

You're going to follow SSS around & post this over & over? :thumbsu: mmmmm ... good times. I'll make sure I bookmark it so I can come back later to enjoy too - whoop woop!

And in the dark days before armageddon there shall be a prophet come to warn us of the doom. And lo the prophets name shall be Nexus Helen.

I think I am ready to go over to the dark side.

We are doomed , with our rose colored heads in the sand.
Rebuild, sack the coach, trade lenny, all of it.!!!! ( hand me my pills ).

Yes the sky is falling & we're played ourselves out of any chance this year, but SS nothing could ever become so grim to join the above mentioned's delight in our depths of dispair.

What would Robert Harvey do?

As has been the case with the last 135 years, when the STK football has something to play for (with one lucky exception), they have thrown it away again.
I could be harsh and say they pulled a heart muscle, but that would suggest that they had a heart in the first place.
Nothing has changed or will ever change.

Piss weak.

Goddard playing out of his skin, Milney kicking a goal of the year, Harves possible last game at the G. None of that could lift us...

Against a shit undermanned underrage Collingwood side.

Fk and there goes my HJ's theory! :(

I don't want to butt in....but Bad luck for you supporters.
I did not see the game but it did not sound great.
I only really came on to say how much I will miss R.Harvey and what a great player he has been from an Oppo supporters point of view.
It seems it has been coming for about 5 years and now is finally here.

Anyway, Harv's, a great player, a great serveant for your club and possibly the last of the great champions of a closing era. (Buck's, Roo, Hird, Voss, etc)
Probably only McLeod and Harvey (north) still playing, could lay claim to being in that list.

What are you going to do without him?....it just won't be the same.

Our last three weeks have been woeful. We just never really got going. Very sad to see.

Birss can not get a game in that side

agreed. I thought the 14 point margin was flattering. we shouldve lost by 10 goals. Fumbling, missed marks, missed targets, kicks going over heads by 2-3 metres. Goddard the only shining light in defence and the absolute inability to shut down the pies as shown by our complete inability to kick 2 goals in a row. Add in a shocker from milne and the only positive was the fact that Gwilt played okay and with a bit of GUTS. something a lot of the others could look at. I'd be interested to know our <10 posessions players. and i'm guessing there's a lot

i went to the game expecting to lose by 10 goals, given the floggings we got from Essendon and Hawthorn and the nightmare week off the field, the loss of two of our best and the inexperience of our kids. Plus the Harvey factor and the playing for a top 8 possie. Your blokes were pancake flat for 3 quarters. Hard to believe they could not get up for it. I hope for the saints sake you have some good young talent coming through.

Yeah even though we won the free kick count, there was a couple that were crucial in the last quarter which were missed. Gwilt was pushed into next week and Roo was shoved a fair bit...play on!

Harvey was held, someone was thrown in the tackle, like Milburn did (and he got 4 weeks for that!)... play on.

I'm usually for free flowing footy, but shit, only if it's a soft hands in the back, but when you clearly push someone so they have no chance of trying to mark it. No good.

Yes, exactly. For the past 30 years or so in particular we go into our shells when it matters the most. If we took a page out of the kangas book, god knows how many trophies we'd have in the cabinet by now.

All I heard was "play on".

Riewoldt was pushed in the back at least 5 times and the commentry did note it.

He got 1 free kick for the game. Disgraceful. Why do the AFL hate us?

Free kicks wasn't the reason we lost the game, dont blame the umpires. The footy we played was disgraceful, we're a heartless bunch. So sad to see Lenny, Roo and the great man try so hard every week to cover for the soft bastards like Dal Santo. Dal is one of my favourite players but he was a disgrace last night, there was one contest against a collingwood player, he tried to tackle, the tackle was piss weak, Collingwood player broke through, he could've had a second crack at it but he went to ground. Goal. Piss weak.

Agree, It is a ****ing joke.

We were 14 points down, On a fast break and the ball was kicked to Riewoldt on the lead. Brown (who got away with everything) cleary had 1 hand in Roo's back and the other hand chopping his arm.

And that little old man Mc****ingBurney didn't pay it.

In saying that, we did not deserve to win playing that shit brand of football.

What does Ross Lyon make them do at training? We don't sheppard, the players (bar Harvey + Dal) cannot kick to a lead.

Thought both Riewoldt and Cloke had to earn their kicks, and Harvey did cop the rough end of two obvious ones.

But generally I thought the umpires let the game go, and No. 29 was OK aside from sh!thouse bounces which did not help either team. I hardly noticed No 8. McBurney seemed to be at the centre of the dodgy ones.

EXACTLY!!!!

Time and time again saturday night, when a Collingwood player was running with the ball, a teammate was there to shepherd.

When we were running with the ball, we were often run down as no teammate was there to shepherd, or even talk to the bloke with the ball and let him know whats behind him.

Basic footy skills Saints, they do these things in the under 10s!!!:mad::mad:

Even our flooding was not good. If the ball went to one of their forwards, three Saints would mug the guy, the ball would spill out and on of their players would get it.

That's coz we're soft, Ball and Lenny are the only two who would put their body on the line to get that ball.
