With the cold , wind and rain about to smack melbourne ... i ask you this .

How have we gone the last couple of years in similar conditions ?

What are our odds tonight ? ;)

I think we play well in the wet, our kicking skills don't look so bad in the slosh and slop:D

If it rains tonight, i would give us a 35-65 chance of pulling off a upset, 30-70 in dry conditions

if it raining and buddy's ankle is not 100% it could really be the hawks down full.

marking will be hard so roughy an buddy shouldn't be much of a threat, they will miss cyril.

we have a chance tonight fine weather or wet weather.
really test tonight for the young number 12 ashy hasn't been in the best of form
grimes congrats tonight prob brought in earlier than planned with moore, Mcguane an rance out

Lids must play in the centre

hodge is the must stop maybe jackson/king if he gets away the lids to run with

jacky out of the square morton at his feet

The Tasmania Hawks should be OK in the wet - it rains quite a bit in Launceston, so they have plenty of experience. Having said that, I think our chances for a win will certainly increase.

We are much harder at the pill these days and have a few bigger stronger bodies than in days gone by. The wet would seem to be a positive but if it does rain Tucky would have been handy. I'm hoping to a good showing either way....a bit of a litmus test for us tonight in terms of guaging improvement. Not expecting a win just a highly competitive effort

I feel that our tenacity and hunger for the ball and the man are two of our biggest attributes. Wet weather footy only acts to increase the importance of these to traits. Bring on the rain I say.

Yeh Lonnie does get rain but not as much as people may think. Many players consider the ground there one of the best in the country. One of the reasons is b'cos it drains so well & is good surface to run on etc I'm not sure Hawks have had that many wet games there.;)

If it's wet, suddenly our defensive matchups look like game-breakers - and not for Hawthorn anymore.

In any weather, you will see us with a grin...

I hope it pisses down we always do well in the wet and soaking wet will bring the skill levels alot closer.

best of all since I got given box tickets i'll be nice and dry and warm while we win :P

Rained 2 or 3 times in 10 years in Hawks games at Launceston.

Lol at someone from Queensland reckoning it rains more in another part of the country!

Granted, it gets cold, but nowhere near the rain places like Queensland and Sydney get.

For what its worth, memory tells me that when Hawks played Melbourne in 2010, they were getting run off their legs until it rained and then the bigger bodies of the Hawks midfield took over and won them the game.
