Maybe you can help me with a problem.
It seems I've reached my 50gb data usage for the month and my net has been slowed to 256kbps. Yay.
After some investigating, seeing as I've never even come close to this before, it turns out I average around 100mb to 300mb max on any given average day.
There have been a few concurrent days however that have seen usage of 7gb, 9gb, 3gb & 2gb in one period and 10gb & 15gb in another period. Interesting.
As it also turns out, I apparently used 5gb on the 15gb day after my usage was slowed to 256kbps. Is there even enough time in the day for this to occur?
I'll be hitting up my ISP as after checking previous months, the same thing has occured. Normal usage and random spikes, including one day last month of 21gb.
I called my ISP but they weren't helpful after I explained this.
Is it your antivirus software updating? No. 21gb worth of updates? You serious?
Do you share your internet connection with anyone? My dog.
Perhaps someone is using your wireless? Wait what? I have wireless? *It seems i've been using a hardwired connection idiodically. I pulled the landline, tried to connect, had to enter my WPA when prompted, and presto, I've got wireless. At least it needed the WPA!
I've got no idea what's going on. Will head into the store to enquire in the arvo.
