Weird X-Box 360 Problem

It reads games, but will not read dvds. I put the dvd in and it starts spinning and then stops and then starts spinning again and then prompts me to open the tray. Any ideas?

edit: won't read any disk, including games and so must be a problem with the laser.

Had that once before, turned the XBOX off and it came good
