Completely, his attitude has been absolutely ridiculous for the club.

Waltzes around doing sfa way too often.

Name his last good game

R19 v Brisbane last year - 21 disposals and 2 goals

Missed virtually all of 2023 after killing his hamstring and had a late start to 2024 coming off surgery to his other hamstring

If you watched him running at training you’d have no confidence in him returning to his best - looks decidedly disinterested more often than not

Then they start match play whether that be a half ground drill or proper match sim and he’s a completely different looking player - engaged, always dangerous and a key component of our transition

Looks to me like he’s regaining confidence in his hammies and is jumping for marks etc like the Ryan of old

Last year would have been a perfect time to try him as a backman in a role similar to that which Lewis Jetta used to play.
He would have been in the play a lot and would not have had the chance to be disinterested. Flying for speccie marks and trying fancy shots a goals might look good but doesn't help the team when he misses.

Thanks Liam Flyin Ryan for a memorable career with the Eagles

In the 2018 grand final laid a savage shirtfront on one of the biggest collingwood campaigners. Maynard struggled to breathe for a good 5 minutes afterwards. As clean a hit as you'll ever see.

Later that day secured his place in Eagles folklore with a towering mark at half forward then immediately played on with a typically precise kick to Dom Sheed in the forward pocket. A premiership winning goal assist

All the best Liam

Sad times - outside of Vardy who’s been gone for years, the other 3 that made up the most famous scoring chain in club history, have all departed in the same year. Gov, Ryan and Sheed, you will be sorely missed, but will remain in club immortality forever.

Hasn't kicked any goals for 6 months. Delist.
He had 7 games where he didn't score a goal, the 3 goals he kicked in each of 3 games were his highest hauls for the season. 22 goals 22 points was his contribution this year.
Maybe he will do better in a better team that doesn't have to travel as much and will play a lot of games undercover at Marvel.

I've never been a hater, always thankful for his part in our flag and wish him the best.

Highlight king, fantastic delivery by foot, and provided some all time moments in the clutch.

Ironically his last b.o.g for us would be against the saints.

Gonna bloody miss seeing him in the blue and gold.
Just glad he won't be lacing them up for carlton, or Geelong, or hawthorn or one of the absolute campaigner clubs.

Really gutted by this. Not by the trade return, but he was a favourite player and such a fun player to watch. Such a grim time to be an Eagles fan.
The highlights are now few and far between, we can't look in the rear vision mirror we have to look forward.

Best for both parties, hopefully the new environment gets him back to his best for the last few years of his career.

His 2020 season form was incredible.. doesn't surprise me he dominated in the covid hubs where profesionalism and training standards dropped across the board in the AFL just due to the nature of the circumstances.

His talent stood out immensley, and made teams look silly at times.

Elite backhanded compliment

And where has he been for the 5 seasons since 2020 ?
