I just wanted to say that I am happy for you guys and your club. It is great for the competition and your club is more then deserving of a premiership. Great footy-well done

My son (5) has been to a couple of NMFC games, has a jumper, even a junior Joeys membership. But he has had a distinct liking for Collingwood (as well as (NMFC) for over a year now.
I hope he will grow out of Collingwood. God knows you don't need another supporter.

That's one of the great advantages of winning flags.

Generally, kids that are easily influenced will support whoever is winning, but that of course depends on how much the parents push which team they should support.

I support Collingwood because of my father. While growing up, Hawthorn and Essendon were the dominant sides.

I expect this flag, and having some of the charismatic players we do, will add many youngsters to the fold as Collingwood supporters.

Royal Flush, while I completely understand your desire to have your son support North (as he should), in all honesty, if you can't make it stick, Collingwood would probably be a good back up second.

Richmond was always my second team growing up as I basically grew up there, and a decent chunk of my family (not immediate) are Richmond supporters. But having a kid support a big club with great support regardless of ladder position is never a bad thing.
