I hope that you are joking with McMahon. Its the last thing the Tigers need is another player that can play the HBF role. He is exactly the same sort of player that Aaron Fiora is and we traded him 2 years ago. Also the reported money we are going to be paying him is a disgrace.

They should have targeted a bloke like Carroll from Melbourne when his name was put on the table. A strong bodied defender is what Richmond lack.

Overall I am happy. I thought we could of targetted Wood much harder however we were never going to give beat pies first pick.
We have got pick 2, 18 McMahon and Morton and hopefully a J Brennan in PSD.
We are starting to get depth at club - something we have lacked for years. We also have improved our skill level.
We will have Cogs and Simmo back next year and N Brown for the full year.
I know we have all said it before but surely next year and late picks this year need to be used on TALLS.

Carroll was almost all-australian 2 years ago. McMahon has done nothing to deserve the money the tigers will be paying him, watch shit himself when the going gets tough, just like he did at the bulldogs for all these years. All Im saying, its the last player Richmond need, another skinny half back flanker who doesnt get the ball. they would have been better off going for a strong bodied defender to help out the likes of Thursfield and McGuane(who I dont rate)..

Thursfield will be pretty good. McGuane wont make the grade. As for Polak, he didnt man an opponent all year, played the loose man role, Bowden is not the ideal player for Key position backline, he is more running creative defender and as for Newman, he plays the same role as McMahon as does Raines. We cant fit them all into that spot in the senior 22. Not to forget King as well.

There is one fundamental difference between McMahon and Fiora... When McMahon kicks it, it hits the designated target. Too many of Fiora's end up being up and under helicopter kicks.

McMahon is a Bulldogs best 22 regular in a side where there is a lot of competition for his position.
