The podium ceremony that followed Michael Schumacher's 65th Grand Prix victory was necessarily subdued, following the death of his mother Elisabeth the previous evening.
The world champion was given the choice whether or not to race and, like brother Ralf, chose to do so in honour of their mother who had been so supportive in both their careers.
As he stood atop the rostrum Schumacher was drawn and pensive, flanked by Kimi Raikkonen and Rubens Barrichello. There was none of the traditional spraying of champagne.
"Formula One has done itself credit today," one seasoned observer remarked. "It was the right thing to give Michael and Ralf the option to race today, and this prize-giving ceremony has been handled with decency."

Was great to see Michael back up there,
good effort to the top 3 winners and also to the rest of the gang.
My deepest thoughts and wishes are with the Schumacher family.
It is hard losing a family member or a friend no matter who you are.Deepest wishes, and well done for winning,I bet your mother would be proud
